Blacksnake
by Czarine
Since everybody are drawing others' characters, I thought I'd join in, especially now that I have no schoolwork left undone. I've been thinking of drawing Blacksnake for some time, but haven't had the time and inspiration. Now I had both.
The winter is because I've been drawing quite a lot of winter themed pictures lately. And I could illustrate Blacksnake in his winter gear!

(I think I'm going to get that program, thank you so much for the link!!)
I think this is outstanding. Blacksnake looks so grim, determined. I love the feel if the grayness and snow gives the picture. O,o |

I don't know why, but those feathers look darn awesome! I like the mood very much, and YAY for gray scale pictures! they often have more mood than colored ones!...

WOW, Czarine!
![]() I love the fuzzy, painterly quality of the brushwork that the program gives you. Very atmospheric result, and I think the soft effects really works particularly well on things like hair and fur and even those feathers. You've got such great motion in here, too; you can really feel the blowing wind. (I have to admit that I'm often most fond of doing winter pieces as well, and it's probably partly for all the fur clothing!) The expression is just the perfect level of grim purpose, too. Thank you so much! I will definitely return the favor. ![]() |

I know I said it before, but you are so good at creating moods with your colors. He seems so vigilant and trustworthy somehow. Love this piece!

Very brooding, very moody, and the black and white is breathtaking! He seems to be standing vigil against the winter storm itself with grim determination. You stayed true to the character; I could easily tell it was him and that is definitely his usual expression. Beautifully done!
