Self Elf - Neve

This is still a WIP, but I was so excited to get the outline done that I wanted to share. I've been wanting to draw my self elf for a long time, but finally convinced myself to do it. There are a lot of elements in the drawings that I think say "me" from the short hair (yes, my hair is that short and ugh it was hard to draw an elf like that!) to the flower in said hair and a few other things that might make this description way too long 
Anyhoo I'm still working on details of her background, but I'm convinced she's GoBack (cuz I came from the frozen east) who ended up in the Sun Village (as I have lived in the desert too long) and...I'll get there XD
Her name Neve means snow which my name translates to in English so I thought only fair
So uh ya...too long description anyway. Sorry!

Oh, awesomeness - more self-elves! And such a beautiful one too!
I love how you've included all those little details that match personal aspects from your R.L. Now you have me eager to see the finished picture and read the rest of her story. Kudos on the linework - I find linework to be so difficult. *sigh* |

I love her look. O,O I like how she doesn't have any lose clothing, it really fits well with a Go-Back. The short hair really fits with clothing style too.

@mirror - Thank you! I kinda wanted to post all the little details about the RL connection to my self elf but it would be too long for the artwork description lol I'm working probably a little too hard on her background but I need to read a bit more about what happened w/the GoBacks before I complete it. I hope to have the picture coloured soon!
@nilla - I was so worried the super short hair wouldn't work as so many elves have gorgeous long hair, but it was definitely something I wanted to keep as my hair has always been an identity for me. Your comment made me happy  @Treefox - Thank you! Short hair is very fun. I just need to work on it a bit more XD |

Aww.
I'm happy to hear that.I think the short hair is refreshing. Long hair doesn't every character. The short hair make your self elf look spry.

Not to mention that having very long hair is impractical when dealing with trolls. One could easily grab it in close combat.

I LOVE short hair on females! I always think it looks so cute. (I wish my hair looked half that cute when it's short; and it has definitely been that short.) Love the way you've done this.
