Labors of Love

For a trade I am so shamefully late.
Scene from the story "Labors of love" from Rivertwine Holt
It features the moment of Recognition between Ice and Hawkcall.
I again tried around a bit. Only inked the two in the foreground since they are the main focus but I think I didn't get it all I wanted it to look. Still I think it turned your okay, even if it seems too "bright and colorful" for my taste.

Don't worry about the bright and colorful. We don't always have a choice in the colors, because some are already decided. I think using linework only on the foreground couple really helps keep the focus on them; that's why I use it often too. I myself am automatically drawn to their eyes.

Even before I read your description I thought it was a good idea to put focus on the main characters this way. I actually like the colors (but then, I do like colorful pictures). I think you chose nice tones which are very pleasant to the eye.

I agree, those ink lines put all focus on the couple. I think you've captured the moment perfectly, everything seems frozen as if time stopped when their eyes locked... Ah, Recognition ^_^
