Shenshen 2011

A picture of shenshen I drew few days ago, while I was ill (and still am) I wanted to try coloring her skin by using a method I used on one of my personal fantasy characters, the base was colored with brown ballpointpen, that I modified in gimp, it doesn't look like it should, however, because I messed things up with the layers, and being the idiot I am, accidentally saved it without checking twice!... my scanner is annoying with colors, so I'll leave it unfinished for now... it was only a test anyway...

I think her skin looks soft and has a lovely color. I would have never guessed that the base is ballpen!

I must agree with the others, the skin looks so soft! You definitely should experiment more like this! Haha, it's kinda fun to see the "before" image, we all know how the "after" looks!
