Teenage Schudspeer and friends

A picture I drew in 2006 that I colored for my summer exhibition.
It features a teenage version of Schudspeer and two of his friends from those days. Vlughert (grandmother of Vonk and Donderbron) who looks a bit worried, and Meerval (Roodklauw's mom) who is still daughter of the chieftess at this point.
When I look at the genealogical tree of the Zonnemeer tribe, it feels as if Schudspeer has outlived everyone.
Colored with copic markers and some white ink.

How do you manage to be so prolific and maintain such a high quality to your pictures? Again, you captured a wonderful light-hearted mood here.

@Treefox; in May and June I worked very hard on a bunch of pictures. I wanted to display them in an exhibition so just "web-ready" wasn't enough this time. I really tried my best with the colors and all. |

Didn't you have a black and white of this one somewhere? Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Hmmm. Anyway, very lovely and it's always great to see a group shot. I like the detail of the waterfall in the background. The trio looks more middle school or just around that age, just out for a day of fun. Very sweet and serene. Excellent color work, too!

I don't know what middleschool is, but their ages vary a little. I don't know from the top of my head, but Vlughert may be only 13 here, while Schudspeer's perhaps 20. For elves they're concidered agemates though.
I think it's (been) on the Zonnemeer site! The linework is a few years old. |
