I've decided I don't like her hand. :-p

Wha-?! And you have it end with a cliffhanger? Not fair! I love how Aroree looks more intimidated with each panel. The poor girl...

Yikes! *jumps back* ..AAAAAaNNd now Winnowill's starting to scare me! Gee, that feels familiar! =P I'm definitely seeing her later-self more sinister traits surfacing by now. She's still obviously trying to do this for Aroree's Own Good (tm), but she's becoming manipulative...
That's a really hard position to draw for a hand. I can see what you mean, but I think you did well with it anyway! |

And the true Winnowill comes to light: very manipulative, creepy, something dark and cruel lurking just beneath the gentle healer visage. Nicely done. As for the hand, I honestly wouldn't worry about it for a couple of reasons: the perspective is toward the reader, making it more effective to the reader (is she reaching for Aroree or ME?) and the hand takes on a more claw-like style that reinforces the manipulative, creepy, something dark and cruel idea behind not only Winnowill but the scene as well. Good job!

Thank you for the encouraging critique.
What's bothering me about the and is how the pinky finger's flesh cuts too low into the palm. But if I let myself get tangled up into trying to draw like you, then the comic will die again. So I'm carrying forward and simply trying to remember not to make those mistakes again. |

I still don't think the pinky is a problem, it certainly isn't distracting from the overall image. In fact, I think it just emphasizes the claw-like nature of the gesture. If it really does bother you, maybe a little added shading around the outer edge of the pinky or darkening what you have already there would help "lift" the pinky off the palm a bit more.

Hm... you're probably right. I'm glad that it doesn't bother YOU. LOL. I think that's what counts: how the reader sees it.
