This character sketch of Spine's unseen lost brother, Stormsong, isn't much more than a doodle. I was just playing around with trying for a family resemblance, along with trying to develop one of those impossible EQ hairstyles, so he looked related to Spine, but not his twin. I am not much of a costume designer, and I think the weird hairstyles aren't my thing either. LOL
From the tales he tells the tribes children, about "racing on the fastest waves" and "riding on slaptail's back," I gather that Spine is a bit of a surfer at heart. Spending my workdays at the beach and sailing center amongst a bunch of surfers inspired me to imagine Spine and Stormsong as elfy surfer-types with the ocean as their playground. I need to pursue a few more drawings along this thought line.

I love that hair...and the family resemblance jumped right out at me.
 And yeah, with a name like Stormsong, he's gotta be a bit of an adrenaline-junkie.So am I understanding correctly that this is new elfquest art from you? O_O |

Yeah, shocking isn't it?  It's been rainy here, so there have been days at the sailing center when there is nothing to do. And it just seems natural to work on Wavedancer stuff in that setting.After rereading the Wavedancer series, I think Stormsong might have been Spine older brother (since he had a lifemate and offspring), what do you guys think? I dunno if he looks too mature here - younger or about the same age as Spine maybe. He must have had dark hair too, judging from his son Tumble since Tumble's mother has brown hair. |

You certainly did awesome on the hairstyle despite it not being your thing
There's no questioning the family resemblance and I'm finding myself crushing on him already--I love a sexy surfer <3 Well done!
