Ok, I lied.
I didn't buy crayons.
I kept working with Gimp + Mousepad.
Actually, I'm starting to find it quite interesting. Like painting a minature piece. Or using guache. (I hate guache). Well, using any medium out of the ordinary to challenge yourself. And hopefully learn something along the way.
Ok, I totally just made that up to convince myself I can cope without my tablet.

You are a brave soul.
![]() Oh, right, regarding cc...I was going to suggest angling her right forearm up about 45-degress, so that bow-hand is holding the bow higher, near her shoulder. That would give it a more natural angle and save you from having to do any foreshortening. But then I realized that you'd have two arms at that angle, giving you a sort of "W". Might not be the composition you want. *ponder* |

Thanks for your comments!
Yeah, I'm not too happy about that arm either. *joins in pondering* What about lowering it (putting the bow at about hip-level) and flipping her lower arm towards her left? Does that make sense at all? I really should draw this out, lol |

I mostly work without tablet, and I think this is very nice work you've done with a mouse! I'm actually digging this! we often see so wonderfully shaded pictures from you that it is sometimes nice to see stuff like this! hope you gained some interesting experiences from drawing this! thank you for sharing this!...
