Another oldie but goodie. A member of my holt, Holt of Grand Illusions, had a long running page in each issue called Truestar's Corner. Truestar is his main character, and it would be brief comments or observations the character would make. This one was about preservers (obviously), and his attempt to make sense of them. After admitting he had no clue exactly what they were, he did say he found a great use for them - FISHBAIT!
Truestar is Robert Beasley's character.

Haha, one would think that Preservers are much too loud and would scare away any fish around.

Well, Truestar would be the sort to not really care. If the fish didn't eat them, he'd try and drown them. He was never too fond of preservers.
