Night Dancing

by Amberfox

Holt of Grand Illusions' chieftains and soul brothers, Amberfox and Desertmoon, take a break to dance in the moonslight. Amberfox plays his lute, Desertmoon (sans obnoxious black and white checkerboard shirt) plays the pan pipes. Someday I'll get around to coloring this one.

Amberfox is my character, Desertmoon is Sean McKay's.

I really like your work. They are unusual, but they obviously have something. I can not say that, but this is my very attractive.

Sorry, my bad English

Fun and playful, and good job on the perspective of Amberfox's leg! Wanna dance along. :D

Thank you, Elea!  I'm glad you like them. They're a lot of fun to draw, at least for me.

Don't worry about it. I can understand what you're saying. I can also understand what it is like; when I was in Germany, I speak very proper German, so I had a lot of trouble when I was in an area where they spoke "low" German. They had trouble understanding me, and I had trouble understanding them. I often had to have my mother or Oma translate for me; so embarrassing. I'm glad you've joined this website; I love your work and it's always great to be able to meet other EQ fans.

Amberfox would only be encouraged to play and dance more if you did! Desertmoon...probably not so much.

Glad you like the illo!

Dancing is pretty hard to draw, I think. You did it very well! The amount of detail is again pretty mind-blowing! I really could imagine a set of playing cards or Tarot cards from you very well. I would buy them!

You know ... every time I see your work I cannot help but to think of one of my MOST favorite books when I was a teenager ... The Dancers of Arun. Very powerful book for a variety of reasons but your style just evokes that book for me in so many ways. Always a pleasure to see!

Coming from you, Treefox, that's quite a compliment! I am a huge fan of your work! I have done a Tarot card or two for a holt I was in, but certainly not a set (I do recall my character got the Ace of...Swords, I think).

Faerydae, I'll have to check into these books; never heard of them, but I'm a bit behind on my reading. Glad you are enjoying my work and that it invokes fond memories.

That was the cover of the book when I got my mitts on it in like 1984-ish.

Cool--this would make an awesome t-shirt for a concert. I like the medium you've done this in!
