Goodtree - Final

This was the actual finished painting I did of Goodtree shaping Father Tree for the 2010 calendar.

I didn't realize it was supposed to be landscape and not portrait until after it was done - of course.

Sooo I size it down to be the right height for the dimensions it needed to be and then digitally faked the rest on the right hand side ... and figured if it was chosen ... that's where the text would go. LOL.

I think I did okay faking it in that unless I told you you probably wouldn't even know I'd done that but I wound up liking it less and I already don't like the thing as it is LOL.

Sooo here it is without the digital size correction, LOL!

I remember reading your posts about this...I so felt your pain as you worked to the last minute on the !@#^!@#$ leaves, only to find out you had the dimensions wrong.  I was amazed that you still had it in you to try to work something out in photoshop. Clipping the leaves off the top and bottom would have worked too, but..after all your work, I can't imagine you'd even want to consider doing that!

In any case, it's a beautiful piece, and I commend your leaves. ^_^

Yeah, this is just gorgeous, on its own!  It's a darned shame about the dimensions mix-up.  Those leaves are just fantastic!

And that bark! Very intricate.
I really like that you kept Goodtree's High One like stature that she often seems to have in Wendy's drawings of her.
