What were the names of those elk again...I seem to recall a Black-something from a lot of the BotC short stories. Black-neck? |

Thanks! Yes, I think they were called "black-necks" in canon; although I don't think they show up at all until the later Hidden Years and Howling Rock storyline, do they? And I was never sure if they were supposed to be elk, or just elk-like-analogs. (I definitely respect the idea that canon art generally put a slightly fantasy spin on its creatures, so you do get the feeling that Abode is another world, not just Earth with elves. But, I like to stick to the Earth versions, aesthetically. So my critters don't tend to look canonical.)
