Story illustration for Oceans Edge Holt, run by Sammy Whitaker. I'm mostly posting this one in response to the call for more troll illos. The lovely troll maiden in the center was the only one to befriend the hagard and tortured elf captive/slave depicted in the lower right hand corner (Temon). She was the troll king's favorite, yet she used her feminine charms to protect the elf as best she could. Sadly, she was never given a name by the story's writer, Jen Seago. Temon eventually Recognized another slave elf, the multi-braided Vialle, had baby Greysky, and adopted the young orphan Silverbow. Temon was killed in an escape attempt, but the rest of his family made it out and to Oceans Edge. The troll maiden's fate remains unknown.

You're right, I do love this picture! You did a great job on portraying this lovely looking troll woman. Aaah, so nice to have more trolls with a good heart. :] I posted a few troll pictures here myself. I love how you did the shading btw, as always!

Thank you, ladies! I'm encouraged to try my hand at drawing more trolls. Both Holt of Grand Illusions and Sagewinds have friendly (and very unfriendly) trolls, so maybe I can do something with that. I still think the unnamed troll maiden is the best part of this illo (not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing).
