Elfeneyes has a great collection of the costume changes of many ( almost all?) elves in her gallery: http://www.elfquestfanart.com/index.php?action=media;sa=album;in=102 :) She does some woderful pixel art, and it's a wonderful way to keep track of the evolution of Abode-fashion ;)

I feel kinda guilty now, having "taken" Rillfisher's KoBW- outfit.  Normally I'd be more than happy to swap, but the picture is already 80% finished... :-[

How are you planning on coloring her hair, by the way? In HY she seems golden blond, while on the Beloved Dead-poster her hair is more copper-blond. Does anybody if she has a "canon" color?

I'm leaning towards the slightly darker, honey-like hue of the Beloved Dead. Even in HY you'll notice that Wendy used gold+white for Joyleaf, but yellow+orange for Rillfisher.

This was the URL of the old "Elvish Fashion" website, but as I thought, it's completely gone now.  Does anyone know who this user was?

Does anyone have a link to some good scans of the "Centerfold" posters?  It occurs to me that some of these have a lot of good reference for more obscure characters.  I am thinking the Go-Backs one has a good picture of both Urda and Mardu - plus other Go-Backs I bet aren't even on the character list for the calendar.  For some of the Ten Chiefs and High Ones, the Centerfold image is going to be one of the best references.

Any links?

Not the largest copies, but I think they can all be found here (if we're talking about the group shots that appeared, amongst other places, in the Official Roleplaying Game book?):

http://digilander.libero.it/abode/gallery.htm

eta: I had a look around, but I can't find them posted anywhere in a larger size.  I've scanned a few, but not all of them. It seems to me that that would be the best way to do it -- get someone to scan them from the book, at a higher resolution.

I have all the posters except for #4 (the Preservers) and can scan them life-sized front and back. Would it be okay with Foxeye and Kael if I set up a Gallery with them for reference work only? To be labeled with WARP's copyright, of course.

Hmmm, tell you what...I'll create a "references" album under the same "EQFA" user as the Calendar resides, and give everyone the right to upload useful ElfQuest reference scans there.  That way I can screen that stuff from pushing fan art off of the "recent artwork" front page, and maybe work a link to that album into the site navigation. It's definitely a useful resource, since Richard hasn't added those yet to the EQ Art Gallery.

OK, I've created an "Official References" folder, and "Character Centerfolds" under that. Let me know if you have trouble uploading stuff. Just a note...subfolders there are ONLY visible to members logged in.

Cool! My scanner's bed wasn't quite large enough to get in the full posters, but only the edges (mostly white space, a couple of feet, edge of hair) got trimmed off. I'll upload them as soon as I can.  :D

EDIT: Didn't know you could only add 10 images a day.  :-[ I'll add the rest over the next couple of days. Although it isn't essential, if we'd like to keep the images sequential in the slide show view, anyone else should hold off on adding anything to that sub-album til I'm finished.  ;D

I think the "only add 10 images a day" thing isn't hardwired, though.  And I think Foxeye said that these will NOT show up under Recent Art?

AFAIK, "only add 10 images a day" is just supposed to be a courtesy rule to keep from shoving other new art off the front page of Recent Art.

So for this particular project, you wouldn't have to worry about it, I think.

Unfortunately it is hardcoded, regardless of where the art appears, and not something I can easily turn off.  I found it was more straightforward to do that than have to remind new members of what the rules were in that regard.

Ohhhh.  My mistake.  I'd noticed some instances recently of more than 10 pieces being uploaded at a time, and figured it wasn't hardcoded.

I hadn't realized that they were not available anywhere. Damn! I actually had the chance to steal them from my sister last week.

Yeah...I think I know which cases you are talking about. There was a veeery strange bug where the date/timestamp on some uploaded art was incorrect, which fooled the logic of the script.

Tavie posted Wendy's costume guide for Cutter's fur robe outfit:
http://www.elfquest.com/edits/images/Cutternew.jpg

He wears that same costume for Full Circle, Searcher, and Discovery.
