Wendy Pini (Elfmom) speaks on "The Final Quest"
« on: March 21, 2011, 03:34:26 AM »

Some of you may already know this, but I thought I'd pass it along to those who haven't heard. Wendy and Richard Pini are putting into motion concrete plans for the long-awaited "Final Quest" storyline. There's a new topic thread at Elfquest.com where she comments on this (and there's a link in it to her Facebook comments' page). There's also a lovely (but disturbing) piece of speculative art about it that she uploaded. It's causing a lot of commentary. Check it out if you have the time.

The sorrow of the elves is that
The things they love must die...
(The Tree of swords and jewels waits for me)
Time withers all about them,
Yet the elves it passes by...
(When shall I hang my own upon the Tree?)

Thanks for the heads up! Good to know there's something new on the way. I'm not really one to speculate though, I'll just wait patiently...

Actually, the piece itself is a real treat! (I LOVE it!!!) I was frankly a little worried, having only read original quest so far, about how the art/characters might have changed for better or worse over the years, but in this screenshot it was instantly clear -- and by clear, I mean as clear as a forceful SEND -- that that is STILL our very selfsame Cutter-Tam (and Leetah, but Cutter *is* kinda central in the picture!)

I'm not much for speculation either, afke. It'll be what it will be, and come when it comes, is my motto. I'm just glad EQ (the comic) hasn't been put on an indefinite back burner.

P.S. I've finally transformed into a Wolf now. I'm so happy. I feel just like Kimo when he first did it.  :D  ;D  :D

Thanks also from me! As I am not active on the Scroll anymore I would have definitely missed this. I am also not sure what to say to this picture, except that I like the art quite a lot. I could start to speculate here, but I guess I wouldn't come up with anything new.
