I'm finished with the sketch-phase soon. I'm kinda dreading colouring it, because I like the sketch rather much xD

I might need a few extra days though. I'm not really comfortable colouring in Photoshop (argh!) or Painter (slightly less argh, but still). I miss GIMP.. I might have to put up with the Mac-version to finish the picture..
Anyways, I'll let you know if I need some extra days, I just wanted to warn you ^_^

Sorry to hear that Icebird. If several extra days will help, go ahead and take them. However, as a college prof, I know this contest's deadline often coincides with the start of the massive studying for Finals Week. I am in the same boat so to speak. I am looking at my unfinished cover art and sitting next to it, the huge stack of papers to be corrected.

But yay! We ARE getting some entries trickling in. I swear, you guys always make me worry thinking we aren't going to get any entries!

Aww, sorry we make you nervous.

But I'm afraid that no matter when the deadline is, I'll always start in the last month. Somehow I need all that other time to come up with an idea that I think is worth drawing.

Oh, question; I have a sketch that I hope to finish soon of an idea that I ditched for this calendar (I think it was a bit too gruesome and not PG13). Is it okay to post that before the calendar comes out because I don't submit it, or do I still have to wait?

Can I please, please, please get a little extra time?
I finally have some spare time AND an idea but couldn't get started before today. I'm working really hard and if my hand doesn't freeze off from all the snow I should be able to get it finished by the end of this week.

It's another winter themed drawing and as far as I know it was only mentioned, not shown. Hope I'm right. $:-\$

That's fine, Rosalie. There are a couple other artists who are also asking for a few more days.

Maybe that will give Icebird time to do something, too - maybe even Joselle? hint, hint....

Being a prof too I'm also bogged down with end of semester craziness. I've got a pile of about 300 papers to grade by next Saturday, but I've set aside some time tomorrow, so it'll be do or die. If I don't have something in by this Saturday, you can assume that I've been washed away in paperwork.

Cruel and sadistic just about sums it up. I was a note-taker for a fellow bio major who had dysgraphia, and watching what *she* went through was all that gave me strength to stick it out.

Has the deadline has been extended? How many days are we talking about? Luck is with me, for once, and I've been given the weekend off from work--if my muse favours my sanity I might just be able to finish my entry. But of course it depends on how many extra days we have gotten

I may be totally out this year. (unless we don't have 12 entries) The hubby is doing better but I think I have pneumonia again, just to spice things up. And my company is launching our big iphone / ipad app Monday.... so I can't even THINK of starting anything before then. I did riffle through my computer to see if there was anything I could steal / finish to fit in to the theme...and of course there isn't. grr.
