Windschatten's Other stuff
« on: May 05, 2010, 01:06:24 AM »

It's been a while since I tried it. But together with Jamye a good friend I developed two different comic ideas. We work on them for a while and I hope this time I can keep track.
I know I'm FAR from as good as for example Foxeye... but I have a lot of fun with it.

Here are some character sketches :D

Some inked sketch of Sam... I guess I like Sam

Your comic sounds and looks very intriguing. I hope we see more of it. :)

This started off as a sketch for Ellen Million's Sketchfest this month. I decided to finish it ^^
The prompt was "I'll protect you" And I had to do a pictures of this two.
This are Haze and Flint, the street kinds from my comic project. Actually the first complete illustration ;)

I like the atmosphere and grittiness of this piece. It feels like they can only depend on themselves and each other for their survival.

I love what you're doing with color pencils. There so much atmosphere here. I find it really hard to draw dark places with color pencils. so kudos to you!

Hey there,

I thought I could post this here as well

I found a very, VERY old comic I did once and I lost the text for it. So I thought it might be fun to give people the chance to make up their own and even win something for it ;) Look here.

Oh gosh! :o Bey seems so tiny and he that kind of wounds? Poor boy! I don't know why. but I love the bandages.

I think I love everything  in 'Interrogation'. I especially like expression of the kid sitting down.

The first thought which ran in my head when I saw the drawing of the boy sitting down was the very cliche "you have to marry him." XD I've read too many fanfics lately, of the not so good kind.

I for got to say that I really like the one of Ian. He looks friendly and like someone you can trust your life with.

my favorite, however, is Barnhardt. I love the beard! And the face, with that nose and red blotches. Kind of looks like the uncle one wishes one had.

They are beautiful Windschatten! You have a good eye for interesting compositions. The interrogation again reminds me of a movie still. Wonderful inks there! I so like the small details like how wonderfully drawn that graying hair of Ian is.

Shame on me for not talking notice of the comments here earlier ^^'

I'm so sorry. Thanks to you all  for the feedback :D

@Nilla: Don't worry Bey is a grown man. I just used the SD style. (Super deformed) for this funny. The wounds came from a fight he had. He was lucky to be saved after this encounter... and I just made fun of the scene because I messed up my healing test 3 times  and imagined how you can mess up and how it would look to mess up putting a bangade over your wounds XD

@ Startear: Never let this hear my Gamemaster. He might get weird ideas :P  Lol Yeah I know that kind of fanfic and no it's nothing like that XD
Poor boy just helped the wrong person. The two guys in armor are Templer - hunting down a criminal, dangerous blood mage who happened to trick that poor guy in helping him to escape. He just get's shown WHO the person was he helped to flee and he's not thrilled....

Thanks :) Ian is indeed one of the most noble characters we have in our game :)  and Barnhardt ... Lol.. well he might look friendlier there then he is.. well no he's a nice guy just not the bravest and one who really has it hard at the moment XD I have to admit to draw him was such a nice change. I enjoyed going for something not "attractive" here. :)

@Treefox: Thank you so much :) My compositions quite frankly are often hit and miss but I really like this one :D

Awww. I love the colours here. They give an sense of coldness, chill, and some kind of heaviness.
The background kinda confuses me a little bit, because to me it both looks like clouds and a forest at the same time. But that just means it looks really stunning.

It's time to move on for me. I feel absolutely out of place here since my connections to ElfQuest are loose at best to this point of time. The few links I still have go only about Fan-creations and I love them deeply, but my interests have shifted. Still I liked to be here I enjoyed getting to know a bunch of nice people here, just think here is not my platform.

You can find my other stuff, if you are curious, here:

Aw, too bad. I will miss your art. But often life does such turns.
So, I hope you'll drop on by to lurk on us sometimes! I'll surely have a look at your dA account every now and then.
