That is quite a character design. I like them, especially the wild sketchy part of it.

Skyfire and Two-Spear has changed eye color (and hair too) a lot. First drawn image of Skyfire showed her as blond, then her hair was more like Nightfall's. After that Wendy drew it as pale red. Then when non Wendy artist drew her, she showed up as dark red hair. On eyes, Wendy drew Skyfire with pale blue, while non-Wendy gave her dark blue, and then green. Two-Spear had brown eyes, then brown eyes on yellow back and at last he ended up with green eyes on red back.

Not blaming Wendy for eye color changes, it is just a detail which I've noticed after making Two-Spear and Skyfire as dolls.

Thanks. Sorry about not replying before now, I didn't see your comment before now. Unfortunately I've run into a writers block on this, but hope to continue soon.

I've logged in three times today, but now I can't reach any of the pages.

Wasn't it said that they were going to clear the mess of codes on the news section and Ask Elfmom?

Twenty. And I discovered ElfQuest when I was fourteen.

Indeed, that sentence makes me shudder in withheld rage.

Oh, and when strangers ask me what sexuality I have. Happened five times this year alone.

I hope they don't stick to that hair. It is lovely, but Chitter should have short hair me thinks. Perverse as I am, I hoped Chitter would mainly use spear. Knife is good to, but more fun if she went with spear.

« on: September 10, 2011, 04:11:06 PM »
When I ink my pictures I use either Stabilo fine 0,4 mm pens or pilot pure liquid ink. I've had most success with the stabilo ones. A benefit of those were that they aren't horridly expensive (paid 5 euro for my set, which has red, orange, light green dark green, brown, black, yellow, blue, pink and purple.) They're also available in Europe obviously. Not here however, got them in Belgium. My friend has the same set, which she got in Germany. The pilot one is available in my country however, I think I got it for 12 kr (about two euros, give or take.)

I used to hate inking  with passion when presented to me. Not because working with a pen is troublesome. Working with pen exclusively is very fun. Just thought that it was unnatural and meddlesome to draw something with pencil and then put pen over it. Even in the successful attempts it sort of feels sterile after I've inked my lines and take away the pencil ones.

Your stuff is so cool! Especially the mermaid. Let them have different colors than ours, yes precious. Also love the mime man.

??? Personally I find the idea of elf hybrids, to take that example fascinating. Especially the inner conflicts they face (Timmorn's  and his daughter's struggle to find balance.) The creating part, I can see how thinking about it might freak some out. (Especially one of mine, Carneek, the half forest pig.) But creatures in other works, who says that antro beings have to be human hybrids? If that is what concerns them? Because in those cases I don't see arguments speaking for their case.

I'm quite sure that a lot of the furry haters are that because they've been traumatized by the furbies. Nothing wrong about them, but even I who aren't scared that easily shudder at the commercial where a a female human gave birth to one.

Of all of Irinata's outfits, I like the human one best. I've been a fan of your comic since 2009, though at that time I didn't realize you was the author. Silly me. Vii's scales are absolutely awesome. Anout Vii, another thing I like is how she refers the fere as furries. Little disrespectful, and nice touch.

Well, the closest thing we have on the scroll, to my knowledge is "What you don't dare to say outloud" thread. This is pretty much where you either roar out the frustration in your life. Not allowed to do it towards other members on there however. (Been broken sadly.)

Okay, i have a question. When you're drawing someone lying on a bed or branch to keep it more ElfQuest related, is it best to draw the rough lines of what the character is sleeping/lying on, or go on as you are?

Most of this is actually fanart. Homestuck is a web comic which sometimes is a game. Link: http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6 Very long, (5997 pages, and still in progress.) But worth reading. The author has a knack of portraying complex characters through speech, thoughts and actions. The art varies quite much, sometimes it's chibi like, other times not.

Donald Duck is just too fun to draw, especially when he is angry. XD

Andrea is one of mine, a character in a universe I'm writing through articles, interviews and diary. Haven't got them to fully kick yet, due to the fact that my characters argue when ether its a war or at the brink of one.

Watercolor was very fun. Different from what I'm used to for sure. Haven't been doing it much since I got it, since what I've drawn lately hasn't been things that I've been so pleased with that I do not dare to use them in fear of destroying it.  Though one of them are colored with the pencils, so f I get the confidence I'll do it.

Speaking of which, here are todays drawings.

Wow. I've tried ordinary wacoms and not liked the feel of it, thus stuck to pencil, pen and color pencils. But that looks so cool. And I find myself craving it. Really craving this thing. Technically I even have the money to buy it... but those are to pay for my exam.

Well, i thought to myself... why not join the cool kids? Especially seeing that most of my art isn't EQ art. To tell the truth, drawing is something I haven't done on a regular basis since I was fourteen, which is six years. Now I'm drawing again.

Here are the first I drew.

Andrea (Needs a new name, she is of Spanish descent and there it is a male name.)

Eridan Ampora from Homestuck

The others were drawn after my father was put in rehab.

Donald Duck

Wayward Vagabond from Homestuck

Nature

Disciple from Homestuck

Feferi from Homestuck

Hale

Question: I can't decide if I want to draw Chot in the Going Back outfit or Greenz. Anyone has a vote for me?

I do think that the word true nature isn't the correct term, I do agree with that it should be there. For good or bad, there are some things you feel that you can do or say online which you cannot in the real world. Frankly, I read all of the rants, and I was away when the fight started, and I saw nothing inappropriate here.

You know... I've got myself some watercolor pencils. In it there is a color for Caucasian skin. Bowki is one of my favorites, and Minyah has always been a very cool minor character, but one of the main reasons why I claimed those two was that I only had brown hues for color. I've been experimenting with my new one and it comes on nicely. At least to my eyes. So now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and claim Chot, my favorite character...

You know, you don't have to color on the computer.

Wait, there is another way to color than color pencils? Wow :P

There are so many things which inspires me. It can be that something I want isn't written, knowing a character and wondering how they would react if this or hat happened, making lesser characters shine for once, what other people say and feel... so many things. Getting them done can take some time though.  ::)

Life of Pi by Yann Martel

This is a story which will make you believe in God. Must admit that when I heard that, my skeptical self rose to the challenge. And that is what this story is. It seems like a boring story of how someone survived in impossible conditions, but is so much more than that. It wrestles with religion, educates the reader,  has a lot of adventure, horror and is truly one of the best books I've ever read.
