Oooh, I'm gonna try this one.
In Lilac - Posted Sep 18, 2011
If I find the original I'll try to color it.

I was dead certain that I had answered this comment... hm. Thank you. I did spend a lot of time on him, seeing that it is my favorite outfit. :)

I love the colors on Laluna's outfit! It speaks out that she was raised by Moonshade for sure. Cade looks like a vampire in that pose.
In Goodtree - Posted Sep 18, 2011
I love her skin tone, how she looks like the empress of growing things. That's the way I like Goodtree. She is one of the few characters whose stories bores me, and is uninteresting because I like her like this.

Treefox: I haven't read the older editions of the translated ElfQuest, but in the newer ones he was called Rotsterk (Rootstrong.)

Odd how these things work out. If I have enough paper, can I try one with my color pencils?
In New Bond - Posted Sep 15, 2011
Actually I did fresh up a bit on skin tone, but yeah, it isn't that good. To see my colors properly I must tilt my screen a lot to see the tones I was going for.

I was actually surprised over how well his hair looked. When I started I thought it would surely suck. But it's what came out best. If you ask me that is.

I really love this image. Her pose and your gorgeous pencils... I've given my try at coloring it. http://www.elfquestfanart.com/index.php?action=media;sa=item;in=3135

And I still think it is a quite lovely portrayal. Not only because it shows why Kahvi felt it this urge so strange and magic tasting. And the use of blue and white underlines that. I remember that when I first saw it, I didn't see Skywise before second glance. Another thing I like is the roughness of it. Awesome work :D

I'm also one of the people who like the then better than the new one. If I remember correctly, it was made for the tribe switch thread as SoC, as a Go-Back elder.
In But... - Posted Sep 14, 2011
It was under the traced bases on the site, so I think that is the case here. I found Bunnystick on Da, and posted a link to it on her profile. So far he/she hasn't said anything, so I guess it's okay. If I get a notice that it's not okay, I'll remove it of course :)

Yeah, I think it is important to use characters which have a clear difference in height when using a base like this. Strongbow and Moonshade would look rather ridiculous here. When making it I was going without thought of who or which tribe etc it would be. In the original, Rin is sixteen while Manji has lived for quite a while, he looks to be around twenty-eight.  When Jinali was done, I concluded that his body was simply too course and tall to be one of the same tribe/race. Of course it may happen in real life among humans, but the elves in the series don't have the same height diffrences, so I just decided to drop it out.

Besides, I like the thought of a human and elfin tribe being on peaceful terms. Especially when the elves are more nervous about it than the humans. Jinali isn't as afraid of them as the others, but they are still on tense grounds.

Yes, the pose is from Blade of the Immortal. Loved that manga, but never got beyond 5 or 6 th issue because they stopped selling it at the places I went.
In But... - Posted Sep 14, 2011
It didn't say on the page, so I'll assume not. But I've seen him/her do commissions on DA.

Det involverte en varm stue, noe cola, litt smash og at jeg holdt på i flere timer. Husker ikke hvilke børster jeg brukte. Er særlig fornøyd med håret hans.
In Fire and Ice - Posted Sep 14, 2011
All of them, if that's not to much work, but the one I love most is your portrayal of the recognition.

Næ, den er teknik sett ikke min. Har bare fargelagt den. Det er Nilla som har tegnet linjene og slikt.
In Carneek - Posted Sep 11, 2011
Sorry about taking so long to comment, I had homework to deliver and the page to deliver was acting like a bitch. Honestly, I can't remember if I requested it or not. I do remember bringing the up, but that's all.

I do love him though. Didn't notice before the way his eyes look. Pretty dawn awesome for having trouble thinking up how a pig/elf hybrid looks like. I especially like the shape of his ears.

Also, personality wise, he's a grumpy fellow who drags everyone who aren't hurt out to help contribute. And he seems especially fond of Talen when he angsts for  odd reason.

Yes, Satyr elf will be cool!

Mika is the child of an own invented first born and a seal. Carneek is made because of a passage in one of the anthologies. As for the other two, I don't know yet...

Hm, now I thinks I must do a groupshot with Mika (seal-hybrid), Carneek (forest pig hybrid), horse-elf and zwoot elf. :D
