Ahh! This is fantastic. I think you've managed to get ahold of the digital medium with your Leetah and Rayek. I can look at these and know they are digital but they remind me so much of your traditional artwork. I think that's the most difficult thing, you're right, digital is great for being able to "fix" mistakes (that would otherwise cause you to have to start fresh) but I think it takes a bit to get your style down because it's quite different from traditional mediums. I think you've arrived there, great work!

"Wanted to practice hugs" Aw, I love the idea of wanting to practice drawing hugs. That looks like I good one.
In Ready to Perform - Posted Jan 19, 2024
Wow, the detail is stunning.

Ooh, are you going to colour him?
In Leetah Ver. 2 - Posted Jan 16, 2024
This one does have a bit more of a dreamy quality but I can see why you're having a hard time deciding which is better. I like them both but maybe this version fits better with the ethereal quality of the character.

This is lovely, I especially like the desert/forest colour palette. I certainly hope to see you do more like this. <3

No need for comments on both images, if you'd like to leave a comment please add it to the other (August) image. Thank you!
In Storyteller by Christoph Schilling - Posted Dec 31, 2023
The lighting in this is wonderful, I can almost feel the warmth from the torches. All the little details add to the story, it's like being there to hear it. Nonna and Adar doing what they do best is a great way to start the year don't you think?
In Spring Day by Wintergreen - Posted Dec 31, 2023
I like this one. I think it's that you don't see a Go Back sitting in quiet reflection all that often, so it's like seeing a unicorn, or Big Foot, it's a rarety. The texture adds to the image as well, it's just all-around lovely and calm. Plus your work always gives me an old animation vibe, like the characters could start going about their business at any moment.

You work magic with colour. This looks positively ethereal.
In A Fruitful Future by Veronica Lacquement - Posted Dec 31, 2023
There are a lot of great things going on in this image but I have to say, the peaches look so delicious. ;D Every time I look at the image I get hungry. But seriously, the submission is really lovely with so many details to look at. Thank you for joining in this year!

Again, I love seeing characters that don't get a lot in the way of fan art. This is such a joyous image, you can feel their happiness radiating from the page.
In Lessons in Patience by Saree - Posted Dec 31, 2023
This is a sweet image. I like that Savah is interacting with both cubs since that's not something you saw in the comic (and you know Ember would have been tagging along when Suntop was having a lesson). Ember as always, is the adorable little troublemaker. Strangely my favourite bit is her sandal on the floor. Such a cute detail.

I'm pleased you were able to get involved in the calendar again Amberfox. I have to say, how you managed to draw all that hair and the detail on Salt's tail, I have no idea. I would not have the patience for all those lovely swirling locks.
In The Bone Woman's Prayers by Odin Strand - Posted Dec 31, 2023
I think this is probably the most unexpected character to ever make it into the calendar. I do admire your ability to think outside of the box when choosing a character to work with.
In A Full Life by Treefox - Posted Dec 31, 2023
I'm so happy to have some fall colours in the calendar. This is such a warm and peaceful scene, something I don't think Nightrunner got to experience all that often.
In Losing the Flight by Czarine - Posted Dec 31, 2023
I've enjoyed watching your work evolve over the years. The attention to detail in this is amazing, it looks like it came straight out of the pages of the Original Quest.
In Not Drawn to Scale by Katrina Joyner - Posted Dec 31, 2023
I'm always happy to see comedy Elfquest style. The expressions on the birds are hilarious and just to add to the hilarity Petalwing is belting out the hits with so much feeling. December can be a stressful month, I'm looking forward to seeing this again in 12 months and smiling at the silliness you've created. :lol

Ooh, very nice!

Pretty, I really love the colours you've chosen to work with. :)
