In Mermay 2019 8 Rayek as Mer Elf Elfquest related - Posted Aug 24, 2021
His skin looks a little bleached, but his tail his making up in colours! Having some peace for him would be really good. He does look pretty relaxed and enjoying the currents here.
In Damara of Dan'N - Posted Aug 24, 2021
I guess it is a lot of work with scales and fins, but it offers a lot of possibilities to be creative. And one can be free with the design on non-canon characters. Beautiful!
In RayekIwearThisToProtectYou - Posted Aug 02, 2021
We should have Rayek's day more often. ;)
But what official EQ account? The website rarely sees an update (they were even (too) slow to post a heads-up for the Kickstarter campaign there), then there seems to be a twitter, an IG and a FB account and ... uh, most of those put a lot of barriers in your way if you want to look at something without having an account.
Um, if I had more time, I'd feel tempted to make a pro vaccination image in this style. Of course it wouldn't look as fancy as mask + cape hero-style. ;)
Oh, any there is already some hostility towards vaccination... (mostly because people are still misinformed, get their info from "bubbles" or they simply don't want to deal with science)
In Mermay 2021 - Swamp Mermaid - Posted May 31, 2021
Aww, it's full of duckweed! Like a big green carpet. Are they playing with will-of-the-wisps?
The greenish veil / tone over the image works well here and gives it an even more swampy touch, without making it too dark.
In mermay2021 30competitive - Posted May 31, 2021
Aww, that is very dynamic and has some elegant lines. I wish I could jump like this through the waves!
In Mermay2021 13#Wildlife - Posted May 15, 2021
Flying fish. ;)
It's an unusual angle, indeed, but it results in a dynamic appearance.

Hisss! Kchh!
Eooowk! Eooowk!

Looks like both aren't the most agile at land. But one can still wave impressively with a tail to shoo the seals away. ;)
In Species: Come Dance with Me - Posted May 14, 2021
It's visible for me, too. I don't know if there are any tags or options that might influence visibility?
Their dance is so lightweight it seems like they are flying. :)
In The Baker by Startear - Posted May 09, 2021
Meow! Meow! A wonder kitty isn't lying down directly on the plate and begging for attention. Is that the baker elf woman from Sorrow's End? It looks very relaxed, something a lot of us probably miss. Gramma making bread, without any rush and Kitty is purring besides.
In Shy Honorable Jirda by Ric Rijnders - Posted May 09, 2021
Oh, well, whom to cheer for? Run, rabbit, run? Or cheer at Jirda to catch a meal? Decisions, decisions... Looks like a hard life in the frosty regions. But the snow makes a good background for nearly all sorts of contrasts.
In Playtime by Christoph Schilling - Posted May 09, 2021
Looks like it is a blithe living underwater. :)
Like it all is fun and games and maybe some harmless mischief. And some interesting play of colours.
In Kingdom by Christoph Schilling - Posted Apr 24, 2021
And a couple of trolls for December... I guess all the metal and gold comes in really handy if you have little light in dark places, for it reflects and multiplies the light.  ;) Especially when you stand framed by torches. And they both do look like they're up to more metal.
Drub's (?) Oddbit's (?) bra, though... well. Trolls.
In Good Day's Journey by Tamarien Flaten & Czarine - Posted Apr 24, 2021
Heh, these orange to purple-ish sunset tones seem to occur more often. It seems very relaxed. Though it could also fit some end-times-postapocalyptic movie setting.
And that elf with the artistic shield... he reminds me a little of some Virologist. ;)
And I wonder who's coming to visit here.
Good co-op of lines and colouring, again.
In Burden by Czarine - Posted Apr 24, 2021
Interesting colour gradient, warm tones outsides, cool and dark inside this foggy forest. And only the eyes repeat the warmer tones, but in a rather dangerous looking fashion.
It emits a lot of urgency, the face stern and determined, knowing about the urgency of the situation. Animals are frightened by the frantic ride that passes by, but not awayre of the story behind it.
Emotion well portrayed.
In From the Deep by Treefox - Posted Apr 23, 2021
Interesting, another underwater scene. It seems mer-elves are popular among artists, or is it because it allows a lot more shapes?
Omg, her "dress", it seems to be inspired by Wendy's recent installations. But here, I think it fits a little better, not because such a gown would even be remotely handy for swimming, but because it looks like a giant jellyfish. And this white-silver makes a contrast with her hair and to the coral colours that surround her. Well done!
In Zhantee, Jackwolfrider by Afke van Herpt - Posted Apr 23, 2021
Enjoying some shadow, even though it seems to be sunset already? Very nice colouring, the mood is really palpable. The scent of the petals (I just think they have some) perceivable. Even with so many characters and animals it manages to remain calm. Lazy summer evening. And Zhantee deserves some attention, indeed.
In A Touch of Compassion by Wildfire - Posted Apr 23, 2021
An up-to-date topic, sadly. Fishing nets but also plastic garbage is getting sea-life entangeled. I guess we need some elves here, too. Much blue here, but then, striking, yellow tones and red variants to elevate some characters and features. It looks very under-water, but good that the very characters are still sharp and in focus. :)
In Playtime by Yavia - Posted Apr 13, 2021
Oh no! Little fox is gnawing on the fabric and tearing holes into it! Well, not to any surprise his home looks a lot like patchwork and most cloth is frayed. But it seems he's got skills and patience to repair. That's a nice combination of daily life, rare character and indoor scene with vidid colours and a lot of things to discover. ;)
In The Time of Flood and Flower by April Suzanne Durfee Landon - Posted Apr 12, 2021
Two and a lot of flowers! ;) An oasis in the desert! And it appears to be a mixed technique, water colours for some parts of the background and something more crisp for all the flowers! Good choice! Those are some vivid coloirs and interesting mix of shapes, the very different outfis as well as all the petals. I can nearly smell the herbal scents and feel the mild warmth of the close evening.
In Springtime Recognition by Heidi Geist - Posted Apr 12, 2021
One would think of a calm spring day in the woods, mild light in the green and some spots of light and sunrays in between, a bumblebee collecting some nectar... and then, all of a sudden, such a lot of excitement! The interesting thing is, that it could even be silent, maybe a gasp from Woodlock. One would wonder what they were actually planing, as Rainsong seems to just have been prancing down the tree, clinging to vines. And then eyes and eyes met. Boom! :)
Loud and silent in one piece, and maybe that is also the contrast between the two, as she looks more curious and lightly surprised, while he's obviously positively shaken.
