What did you do? :D
In Cub Songjoy - Posted Jan 16, 2024
Now I would love to see (and actually hear) that jam session!
In Leetah - Posted Jan 16, 2024
Weird... I'm not an admin anymore, so I don't think we should be able to see different folder settings...
In Leetah - Posted Jan 16, 2024
Yes, I also have ideas for next year's calendar! I will go ahead and post them in the calendar thread.
The pictures of the lion-bonded elves are still here, but they seem to have set the folder so you can only see them when you are logged in.

Thank you for the input! Yes, I absolutely agree with your points. I will keep this in mind for my next character. :)
In Leetah - Posted Jan 16, 2024
Oh thank you so much, Maggie!
Amberfox, let's keep each other motivated to put more art out this year. I would so love to see more art from you again. And maybe some more action on this page.
In Cub Songjoy - Posted Jan 16, 2024
Oh yes, the eye shape really supports his attitude. So well done!
In Songjoy - Posted Jan 16, 2024
I like him so much! Hahaha, I feel your pain about him being a pest to write or draw about. But I hope this still means we'll get to see more of him. I could use some of his positive influence. :love

Thanks so much! Really makes me want to start the next one!!
In Leetah - Posted Jan 16, 2024
Oh my! Thank you so much, Amberfox! Your kind words are so motivating. Yes, indeed, I intent to make more. :D I hope I will find the time as I would like to make many more.
The design is inspired by Leetah's past and present outfits. And, as you have correctly pointed out, wanted the things to be symbolic of Leetah's life. Therefore she's wearing Cutter's armband, the claws Rayek gave her way back in the Sunvillage and also a crystal from the palace.
I really worked long on this... At this rate the next character will not appear for quite some time.

But he has such a special hopeful look on his face. He's gorgoues! I wouldn't want to do anything to wipe that lovely smile off his face. I want to keep him happy!
In Cub Songjoy - Posted Jan 15, 2024
Ohhh! There he is again! He is so, so cute! Love his open face and innocent eyes. Great outfit too. Nice how his feet vanish into the grass. Hopefully you'll recover those color pencils and show us some colors!

What?? I totally missed this one! A bonus after seeing the calendar! Sorry that this guy has been going on your nerves, but I'm happy for it! Soooo handsome! Even as a kid! The facial features are super appealing and that hair! *sighs*
In Not Drawn to Scale by Katrina Joyner - Posted Jan 01, 2024
:lol This is definitely the biggest surprise of the year! Oh my! Amazing! The poor birbs! Haha, we should be able to hire Petalwing for Christmas parties! Just love the way this is drawn, too!

This is perfection! My gosh, this is just so beautiful! I love Lord Voll and to see him like this is heartbreaking, but beautiful and so fitting at the same time. I must admit I wish Wendy's digital work would look more like this. Seeing your process for creating this was also fascinating. And I am always happy to see your art and super glad that you decided to join the calendar again.
In A Full Life by Treefox - Posted Jan 01, 2024
Aww, thank you! It is exactly what I tried to show with this pic. And the praise for this idea must really go to my husband. I loved it immediately when he proposed it to me. Nightrunner was such a great wolf. The scence in which Cutter says goodbye is still heartbreaking. And I am a sucker for fall colors, together with symbolizing the end of his life the setting was an easy choice. :D
In The Bone Woman's Prayers by Odin Strand - Posted Jan 01, 2024
This is so original! And she's definitely an elder! The colors are wondrous! So warm and the feel of a crayon drawing adds a mystery to this whole pic. She does seem like the real deal. LIke the Shaman she was supposed to be. She really looks like someone to consult about life choices, destiny and the will of the spirits.

Yessss!!! Perfect Maggoty! Of course, I am pleased to get your art for one whole month this year! A real treat. The slightly eerie, witchy lightning is perfect for Old Maggoty. Love the texture on her dress and the background, her slightly omnious smile that can be read in many different ways. She is a fascinating character just like Amberfox says. Conniving, manipulative but also there is good will and sometimes friendliness. You captured that perfectly.
Oh, I almost forgot: I loooove the little creatures lurking in the dark!
In Embracing the Future by Amberfox - Posted Jan 01, 2024
Ohhhh! This is beau-ti-ful! I am also super happy that you are back! The way Salt frames the picture is genius! Love, love, love the use of colors! You are sooo good at that! I totally feel you that he looks different every time he's shown. Many newer characters have that tendency, I think. Those violets and browns go sooo well together. And I love how Salt seems to point the way toward their happy end. All characters look gorgeous! And it fits a little bit together with my Suntoucher and Toorah pic!
In Lessons in Patience by Saree - Posted Jan 01, 2024
Oh this is lovely! And traditional coloring! Very refreshing to see! Yep, this has definitely happened more than once. :D Both cubs are super cute and I love that Savah is being her patient, graceful self and taking Ember's teasing for what it is without getting mad. Savah's dress is magical! I've always been a fan of the design of Savah's throneroom. So much detail here!
