So why not ask Foxeye and Kael how much time and money they invested to keep this site running?

I guess most people buy software right from the internet; will say, they download it. I don't know, if it is possible to download PS from the US site, when your IP-adress is from Europe. For example, I can't subscribe to American TV-channels (internet-streaming), because I have the wrong IP-adress.

Than, if you're importing the physical software (the discs), then you might end up paying a lot of custom duties.

That is a positive review... I am still tempted.
Maybe I should check my finance situation next year and consider to buy Photoshop and the Inkling...
But I am still undecided.

buy Photoshop? The program costs more than 700€!! If you're really considering buying a program for the Inkling, better buy the Autodesk program. It's made especially for drawing/painting and its way cheaper...

Apparently, you need the pen-nip to have constant contact with the receiver, and the lower parts can't be as well recorded; since they are farther away from the receiver.
Also, before starting to draw, you have to adjust the receiver, so I don't imagine it to be an as intuitive experience as standard scribblings.
Writings aren't well recorded, but the sketches are meant to become pictures, so I guess that's not a rel problem.

I'm using Open Canvas (the most recent one), which can work with photoshop-files (.psd), so I guess it could open data saved with inkling, too. There's no need to buy (or crack) the expensive Photoshop.

Paint Tool Sai can open, use and save .psd-files as well.

Art and Elfquest / Re: Complete Elfquest (unused) Movie Script Online
« on: October 02, 2011, 02:01:35 AM »
There's nothing wrong with a film, which takes it audience seriously (that's why I've been watching a lot of Korean films recently), but if you want this for an EQ-film, please ask Wendy and Richard to choose an other studio. I've read, they had a special contract with Stanley Kubrick (he had free hand over his movies, but I doubt they would give the Pinis (or the director of the EQ-film) the same freedom.
Maybe I have prejudices, but Warner makes me think of more or less good blockbusters (=big money, safe bet), not rather independent films (=smaller audience, maybe a loss)

Should that be, "wouldn't be bothered to see it as a movie"?  (I assume so, from the rest of what you posted.)

(I haven't looked at it yet, I have no other comments, but I was reading through and at first this made me go  ??? )

sorry, sloppy English (*blush*)

Rayek is one of my favourite charas, too, but this is something of its own. It's not EQ, the comic books, but EQ, the movie. I'm comfortable with such changes. Hey, I got the impression he came to his senses in the last scene ("...fair fight..."), so there is hope.

Weeeeell, for the "real" movie, he's still the most handy villain, right? Unless it, the movie, would really cover all of OQ, there might be no Winnowill, no troll-wars. And we all know how mean Hollywood villains are, don't we? Isn't the movie going to be a Warner-movie?

Actually I really liked the script and I wouldn't bother to see it as a movie.

- Wendy removed Rainsong and Woodlock and their children, wise idea, there shouldn't be too many characters
- story is close but differs from OQ, me likes^^
- Rayek as king of the trolls reminds me of the picture of Winnie as "queen" of the trolls (a green-dark picture with Winnie, a throne and several trolls), which I always liked (the picture:P)
- not too much emphasis on recognition, it might "drown" the movie

Art and Elfquest / Re: [Tools of the Trade] Copics
« on: September 28, 2011, 04:26:35 AM »
You might try Twin Touch Marker. They're markers as well, but way cheaper than copics. The quality is said to be fine, too. I guess the main reason for the price differnce is, that Copics are from Japan and Twin Touch is from Korea...

Art and Elfquest / Other Artists, why not?
« on: September 28, 2011, 01:10:39 AM »
I don't know about here, but at least at the elfquest.com-forum a lot of people know David Mack's Kabuki an love it. Well, I'm one of them. http://www.davidmack.net/
At one point he let other artists draw certain story-lines of certain agents. The style of the different artists, uhm, differed quite substantially, but it didn't matter, because they all were good.

One of the thing EQ-fans dislike about the Elfquest spin-offs are the different artists and the quality of their work (Blair is the best example).

Now I read somewhere, that Wendy expects her to finish Final Quest in her mid-sixties. Final Quest is her baby, for sure. But what about the other storylines fans want to see? Stories about the former Wolfrider chiefs or the other tribes? Would other artist be fine, even if their style differs greatly from Wendy's, as long as they are good?

I googled it; there is a Spanish (Castellan) translation by "Estudio Fénix" (translator) and at least SatS was published as el Camino y la Espada. Right now, neither the translator nor the publisher lists EQ

at the point Rayek kidnaps Cutter's family, the twins are too young; I guess Cutter and Leetah didn't spent more than 15 years together...
I, too, think that Shenshen will haver "her moment to shine" ;)

I think there is a Spanish translation, somewhere I've seen something like "el tribu del lobos" or something along these lines
