There are only 10 submissions so far?  :ohno

There are only 10 people to submit art. Some may have submitted a couple pieces.

Got my picture done. It says to let Maggie know to expect it. I guess I’m gonna send it cause I did not get a response to the pm I sent. I’m sure she’s busy, just a wanna make sure it is not lost in the shuffle.

Quick question. Last year I was confused about the format... Could I have an example picture as reference for format?

Can'r believe I left that out! its St George southern Utah about 2 hours away from Las Vegas

That is pretty important. Lol I can't make it as I live in CA, but I wish you all the fun in the world out there.

I updated my blog a little late this week, but it was about James Cameron's movie Avatar and Elfquest and my wish to have the EQ movie be as great and my realistic point of they that it won't be. The url is - http://cjsmidnightartisr.blogspot.com

The story was great. Though I have seen it before in Dancing With Wolves and Fern Gully and various other movies, books, TV shows, etc. I went to see the visuals mostly. I love that all of the culture and beliefs that "the people" held so greatly to their hearts shines through. You see it in the way they hold eachother, their children, themselves and you hear it in their language and the discriptions. I love that it took the Jarhead the trained scientist to explain the phrase "I see you" as not I can see you there but I see into your soul, I see the true you.

Maybe you don't like it because that is what Elfqueat should be but won't because I don't think the studio will put up the money to put Elfquest in the hands of WETA

Yes but I have been on the other side... I usually explain that real life keeps pushing me around and often kicks my ass... but I am pretty forth coming with that and end up doing the one thing... unless I am the person your talking about in which case... what do I owe you? <:(

I have kept up with my blog, I am very proud.

I have fallen on some bad luck, we were robed, I am sure some of you have heard by now. The burgalar made off with my husband's computer monitor, my Nintendo DS Lite and $800 in cash (my paycheck). I am doing commissions to try to scrape by, I am only asking $5 a bust of a character or a stylized drawing of you or a loved one... $5 a subject. I have had a few offers and I am scraping by, but the cushion helps, if you feel bad because you cannot commission me, please tell everyone you know. :D If you are not sure how to contact me, my email is dreamweaver_no1@yahoo.com and if you give that to another person please ask them to tell me your screenname so I don't feel like I am being scammed.  Thanks ib advanced... oh, also read my blog please. http://cjsmidnightartist.blogspot.com

I always seemed to gravitate towards the creative types myself. I felt like everyone was ahead of me in art. I just decided to challenge myself every day. I am always creating and always trying to push myself as an artist. I think I improved a ton when I started doing the comic, 'Contact Seperation'. I didn't think I would but since I started I learned new things like not being afraid to make some lines thicker than others and how to use panels to help the pace of the story

Oh! No, I was introduced to EQ when I was 8, the issue is that I felt I would mess up the cannon characters so I made my own characters and that is what I have a ton of in all my archives... and are they baaaad. :P

Personally I hope that this site stays up as I cannot get on elfquest dot com while I am on my cell phone and I am frustrated with that and I want a place to come while I am at work and post and talk to everyone! :D

« on: January 06, 2010, 09:08:34 AM »
I got the email but I had to see for myself.  I went to Elfquest dot com and clicked on the Scroll of Colors and though I don't post there much, I am finding I am having major withdrawls.

How is everyone else holding up and are there other sites that if you cannot get to for one reason or another, you have major withdrawls?

I have done some more art! WEEEE!

First up, Rhiannon  - - she was done for my 5 sketch list on Deviantart.  I think she came out rather well.  She wasn't meant to be finished, but there she is! :D

Next up we have Copper, done for the same 5 sketch list -

Last is not a Elfquest picture, but it was done for a coworker, she actually paid me money for it! I am very proud of it.  They are a friend and her friend's Aunt.  After the drawing is the photo I used for reference -

PLEASE tell me what you think.  I thrive on comments. :D
