Chit-Chat / Warner: No ElfQuest movie.

It seems the moviequest has come to an abrupt ending. According Facebooks official EQ-page:
“After close to four years of suspense - and longer than four years of your much-appreciated interest and support - the word has come down from Warner Bros. And the word is ‘no.’ Their simple explanation is that they don't want to compete with The Hobbit. This was a possibility, among several, that we were prepared for. It is a relief, at last, to know.”
Did you guys know about this? I don't visit the official EQ site so often, so I had no idea...

Art and Elfquest / "EQ-drawing -party"...

...or whatever we should call it 
Some of us have been discussing the idea of having an online EQ-drawing-get-together. The general idea would be something like this: all who are interested sign up on a list here on the forums. On a certain date, every single member sends a sketch of something EQ- related to the next member on the list (the last one sends to the first on the list) - who contributes to the drawing in their own way. And so on, until all drawings have done a full circle.
Then we go ahead and post them here, to the marvel and delight of all EQ-fandom
Since I know a lot of us (*cough* like me* cough*) are still busy with the final calendar entries, it'll probably be some time before we get around to eventually organizing it. But, in the mean time -
does this sound interesting to you guys? Any ideas or thoughts?

Chit-Chat / Elfquest = anti male?

I was just reading about Elfquest on Wikipedia. (Yeah, I was supposed to look up something completely different, but y'know...) I quote:
"Interestingly, almost all of the elfin cultures are led by females: the Sun Villagers follow Savah, the Go-Backs follow Kahvi, the Gliders follow Winnowill (even with Lord Voll is the figurehead), and the Wolfriders follow a shared chieftainship between Cutter and Leetah. Only the brutish, warlike and greedy trolls and humans have male leaders without female counterparts. In the Jink/The Rebels/FutureQuest series, the human government thinks that a male leader would be absurd, and the militant "Skyward" is dominated by female officers. The feminine-as-preferable is a subtle but consistent theme throughout the series. The majority of Elquest fans see the misandrist, anti-male approach as completely acceptable"
Obviously, Wikipedia is hardly a source to canon information about...well, anything really. But still, it's clear that someone out there,who obviously cares enough about EQ to edit a Wikipedia-entry, feels this way. Have you ever met any fans of this opinion - and most of all, what do you think?
(As for the record, I don't agree, but then again, being an EQ-fan I'm probably so used to misandrist thinking that I'm blind to it
