Addendum to Mermay. This is a very old picture of a different merelf of mine. His name is Longfin , and I invented him before another Longfin appeared in Elfquest 😆. This name is great, and I think it fits better to a male mer than a female . The Picture was colorized by Ari, who could work Magic with her colour pens. Thanx so much, Ari, wherever you are.

Betooni is a dest elf village made by Berit, my character can take other forms too, but this is her original form, a normal village girl, though her other form is more like an angel! white white wings and everything! she has been in few RPGs already.

These are four deceased characters from the past of Zomerbron. They were a tight bunch and loved pulling pranks - also on each other. In one of their dice based "I dare you to..." games one of them dies. Drama!

I wanted to post this as an example for a possible new challenge of facial expressions. But these are still very subtle. I used photo references and I already exaggerated those.

More old stuff to my Estia folder! these freakishly tall elves are like the High ones of Estia, they are the first elves and all other elves are related to them... very skilled in the ways of magic and they move slowly because of the weight of their own jewels and their frail bodies... Tower elves are also called Bell elves because of their bell shaped buildings...

And yeah, they have yellowish skin...

Gotta love bugs!    This is RTH's population of Preservers: from left to right, Mushroom, Flutterby, Dewdrop, Berryflop, Muckabout, Gurgleflap, and Foamspray.

I'm not 100% happy with the composition of this. What seemed like a good idea in theory (when I was drawing each one separately, except for the two in the middle) irked me when I put it all together in the end. I wish I had done another of them flying somehow. I feel like this spread them out too far, and resulted in too much dead white space. (Which I didn't try to put a background on, because it's a ref pic, and I didn't want anything to distract from the little bugs.) And it made the branch too long and straight, so that it doesn't look natural. Ah well!

You know, I really like the old-skool LOOK of those bell-bottom pants. But they are a pain in the ass to try to get to look right...

Marut and Terra gained some magical fancy clothing, Marut really hated the ones he had to wear! but Terra though he was just adorable!... for this reason Marut hated the clothing even more!...

A while ago I came across this photo of a lake in Italy... and I was like "That's Zonnemeer!"
Of course I had to edit the scenery a little bit, move the mountains a little bit back, and reshape the lake and the forest below.

Though I like the result, I suck at watercoloring. The colors are nothing like how I wanted them to be, but I don't know how to work in layers without removing too much of the layer of paint below the next one. Otherwise this one would've had more of a blue hue, especially in the distance.

This one isn't even that old yet, so I don't understand why I didn't upload it here... It was for Drawing Day 2008.

here we see some changes in Marut's bodybuild when he is outside, surviving on his own and when he gets food too easily as a visitor in some tribes. he gets a little chubby, he might gain even more weight if he stayed longer, but usually the wind on the lone plains call to him so much that he must leave...

Uploading more old stuff I no longer have online (+ also testing the new site!).

This is Streepoog, grandmother of my character Herfst. I first created her as an extra in a story for an offline holt (Water Valley). Then when I moved Vuurhaar and Herfst to my first dutch online holt, I decided to move her with them. She had a few players that didn't stick, until I decided to make her eternally mine and killed her along with two other elves that just wouldn't get adopted (we needed to clean out and apparantly deep inside I just love to kill off elves).

Her names translates as stripe-eye; that "cat-eye" made her able to see warmth (I know, total bull, lol I was young). Drew this several years after she died, because I had only drawn her back when I did crappy paintbucket fills. So this is basically an "unforgotten past" image from way back.
