I like the moodiness here. The simple background really works with the more complex characters.

Somehow this feels melancholy and serene at the same time. Makes me think if this is a "calm before storm" situation, or if there's some secrecy. I agree with Maggie that the simple background works great in this!

Yes, this piece is very ambigious. The lighting is superb, really shining a very soft spotlight on the characters. Thhey seem so perfectly comfortable with each other. Like they szole this little moment just for the two of them. Very intimate. Looovely colors!

That's a nice quote from EQ and an image that fits it. Isn't it good to have somebody taking care and watching over your sleep? Teir looks relaxed, with a hint of happiness, but also toughtful, while Ember just seems to be tired, but happy to be asleep in his arms. The rather simplified background allows a good focus on the characters and their possible emotions.

I love how the light is used in this piece. It's quiet and moody, and the textures on the rocks. It's a really lovely picture.

Perfect lighting and shading here - Love it! Ambiguous fits for me too.
Does she wear mittens, or why is her hand whiter in color than her face? I really love the sky looks the same as the rocks, like they are enclosed in there in a moment of quiet peace. If the space on the upper right is the sky... it looks to me. Very beautiful! Love it! |
