Oh gosh! This turned out amazing! You really knocked out of the park with the final lighting touch! It really draws the focus to Spray and that sad, sad turtle. That sparkly tail, btw, so beautiful! Those ships on the surface... man, this is good stuff. Thanks for showing your progress, too!

Oooh I love what you've done with the blues! I can feel how cold the sea bottom is.

This is so full of details, I imagine I could see something different in it every time I look at it.  I did see the original sketches and additions, but I think the final result is amazing.  Hurry, Spray!  Turtles can drown easily in nets!  While the scene is very captivating and you did a great job on Spray, Salt has my attention.  I love the lowlights in blue on him, something I can't seem to manage without making it look like someone's suffocating (or rotting), and the shimmering is effective without being overdone.  I like that he wasn't rendered as stereotypically "handsome," which makes him more intriguing to me.

I really like your color choice, and how you've used it to create even more dept in the image, alongside the angle. I love the blue dots, it really adds to the picture.

Thanks guys :love It was a lot of fun working on this and I really appreciated the criticism from y'all, it wouldn't have turned out this way without it! I hope we can share progress this year as well!

Drawing Salt was definitely a bit out of my comfortzone, because he *is* rather different than most EQ elves, but it was a ton of fun.

The darkness of that ship on the right and at the bottom gives this a great feeling of suspension. Their facial expressions add to that, of course, but the colours are the first to set this mood. Well done! ♥

An up-to-date topic, sadly. Fishing nets but also plastic garbage is getting sea-life entangeled. I guess we need some elves here, too. Much blue here, but then, striking, yellow tones and red variants to elevate some characters and features. It looks very under-water, but good that the very characters are still sharp and in focus. :)
