Blue feather-y guy
by Treefox
While we're waiting for the calendar art, Yavia and I got back to our old tradition to use the EQ RPG game to roll up some random characters to draw.
Man, we once more had some fun results... so many strange braid hairdos...

Wow, that is amazing! I love how elaborate and delicate that braid is. Looks like he can barely contain himself from touching it every five minutes!

Haha, thank you! These were done pretty fast and rather sloppy, so I am happy that you like that hairdo! Man, the dice really turn out such strange and fun character designs...

I never rolled EQ RPG characters. Are there sheets anywhere? In DnD I have been banned from using dice for backgrounds, it turns into a darn tragedy every single time. The last rolls were: a ranger with c-ptsd and a single alcoholic dad who had to wander the plains of a war-torn country for 30 years with their sisters (and the mom and a sister died of thyphoid fever), a dwarf cast out of their own cult, a farmgirl who married when she was 16 (to a man who was ten years her senior) had to move and run a temple with said husband before she was tricked by a magic sword, and the last one was a girl who is an indentured servant to her demon dad.

Oh this is awesome! Love the excess of feathers, haha
How do you roll up a character in that game? Sounds like a great way to do "prompts" |

Haha, there he is. He looks great! To mention, if I have braids, I like to touch them too. It's an interesting smooth feeling.
Am I correct that you name them all? The older ones, for this one have no name? More diced Characters from others would be awesome. A "prompt" would be nice! @Startear: You diced all those things? That's hilerious! I might have banned you too |

I too want to know how to roll characters like this! Both of you had great results.

Oh Startear! *lol* That is an awesome story! In the EQ RPG you cannot roll up such a elaborate backgrounds for characters. But you can let fate decide how they will look and dress.
I think we can post the "rules" as laid down in the EQ roleplaying game here in the forum somewhere. Then everybody can give it a chance. |

I actually rolled a bunch of characters for our old RPG millions of years ago. I'm sure I still have that info around somewhere. I'm such a packrat when it comes to all things EQ. A prompt seems like it would be fun and interesting to see what happens, and maybe get a bit more action on the site going. Maybe now with the calendar, others will jump in!
Blue feather-y guy seems like he's quite a daydreamer or maybe in his own little world. Not sure what holt I'd stick him in with that outfit, but it certainly is interesting. The braids make it equally unique and interesting; and the color of his hair is well done. Perhaps he's in a costume for a celebration of some sort waiting to perform. |

Oh, I like that celebration approach!
Yes, please join the fun! We'll make sure to post more of these weird-ass characters! |

He looks hilarious! Even more so with this dreamy facial expression. Must have been fun drawing him.
