In a fit of nostalgia, and seeing a pose and expression that was just perfect for Cone if she was in Dragon Age Inqusition, I decided to try pixel dolling again after years of not doing it. It was fun, but very challenging. I have improved lots from drawing and understanding colors now. Didn't help that I felt like it needed a background so I made one myself in Paint, which is a bitch to use, but perfect for pixels.

So if you haven't played Dragon Age Inqusition, it's a video game where the starting plot is that there was a peace talk between Templars and Mages who are at war, when there was a explosion, and your character is the only survivor. You can play as a human, elf, dwarf or a qunari 8a giant with horns.) Afterwards you have a "mark" which can close rifts in the sky, and it is your job to stop the war and close these rifts and save the world. Cone was accidentally sent there after getting in contact with an orb that sent her to Thedas and suddenly she has to deal with it's politics, language and being it's hero, despite not being the hero type.

The base has a funny expression! :D I haven't tried pixel art in years... should test how it would turn out now! I haven't touched Paint in ages too, I don't even know what new features it has (if any!).

It’s a pretty cute expression! Great work on the clothing, colors and background!

Thank you guys! :D Yeah, the expression was what drew me to this base. It is so bewildered and so good! Most bases just have them smiling sweetly, these have interesting expressions and poses. As for why I use paint, I just feel like it is the best for pixel art. Though tbh, it is the thing I started out with and I have only tried doing it with Gimp, and that straight up sucked. So in conclucioin, I don't know how to use other programs so don't listen to my biased ass on that. XD

I have done Pixel art also in Paint. It work just best in it. I was doing it from scratch and to see there are poses to be used as a base is amazing.
I love her bewildered look. To be hornest I would look exact the same if I was the "Herold of Andraste" in Dragon Age and have to close rifts. But with Varric at my side that could be quite entertaining.

Throw another admirer in to the "love the expression" pile! I admit I've never used any dollmaker programs, but this one is a lot of fun.  Also admit I really have no idea what Dragon Age Inquisition is, will look it up, but I can easily get an idea of the story from the illo and the basic discussion.

I admit I also do not know the game.  But that sweet little pose just draws you into the picture off of the Gallery page.  Nice colors and a "wonder" to what she is seeing-cuteness.
