Lady Ironglory-Dark Souls Style
by Yavia
Antaka's meeting of Lady Ironglory has reminded me of Dark Souls. So I draw their first meeting in a Dark Soul-ish fashion.

Ahaha! I laughed out loud when I saw the heal aid. The UI is a nice touch! Your details are so creative. Lady Ironglory would go well in Dark Souls.

Wow! This really looks as if it could be in a video game or on the packaging for one! Nicely done! Love the feel of it and the atmospheric coloring. Lady Ironglory has such a heroic stance, and damn - that sword. Not sure how she can wield it, but it sure as hell is impressive! Great shading on the cape.

Thanks to all of you!
I tried the shading with thin layers this time. So it's layer upon layer nearly everywhere. Took me 30 hours... The background is nearly complete from out of the game. I changed it here and there (there has been a castle ruin in the background) and adjust the UI to Antaka. Off course she is a Warrior of Sunlight (covenant in Dark Souls 3). She has not earned one soul till now, has a little bit of water in her water bottle, seven pearls and ... Laluna is out of reach to heal her. In the game there is put in some magic spells of all kind, also healing. Afterwarts I think to make Laluna more DS like, but this little smiling and cute face - I like it more that way. Lady Ironglory have had a sword rested on her shoulder in my draft. But as Berit said she has a spear and a short sword I changed the arming. Her Swordspear is inspired by the Ornstein Dragonslayer. Large weapons are a thing in DS and I oversiced it a bit, but ehhh, as a boss she surly could fight with it just fine... Like most of the bosses in Dark Souls with their oversiced weapons. |

You're welcome!!! Thank you for mentioning the metal. I absolutely love the outcome of it and I'm so happy you see that too. I am really satisfied with this picture. Yes, the healing is again my comedy touch . After I looked at the original UI the idea poped in in an instand. Even in this dark game with the horrors and much dying and much disgusting monsters, I find a way to make comedy...
Thank you so much for inspiring me doing art. |

I just want to walk into that lovely background. How did you make it look crisp? This is amazing shading, really. I do not understand the inside joke but this is a wonderful window into another world.

The background looks so crisp because I did a screenshot and edited the old castle ruin and bridge and player out of it. I don't make it clear in my answerpost, that I do not draw that complete background at all. Both characters are drawn by me with hundreds of layers. The shading on them pay out very well, I like that a lot. The game is such a nice place to wander around, if there wasn't all the horrible strong monsters around every corner XD.
