I don't think Trinket would have to wait for her papa to fall asleep to do this; I suspect he'd grudgingly let her do that because she had him wrapped around her little green finger. Maybe she wanted to give him a makeover and, as typical of kids, got carried away. I can just hear Picky grumbling as Trinket asks him if he likes her work.
