I absolutly love the poses! Nightfalls face is so expressive! And Redlance just looks beautiful. I love the hair of him (and everything else). You did a great job on both of them and the wolves as a computer drawing. Totally love it. I'm not sure if I like to join them, cause Nightfall looks intense, but I like to sneak in on Redlance side and watch plants grow.
Wonderful colors!

I love the bright colors! They make the picture somehow peaceful even though Nightfall looks so intense. I also like the contrast between calm and aggressive thematically.

I think Redlance and Nightfall are perfect for this theme. They're a favourite of many. Mine as well when I first discovered EQ! ;D
I love how you even made the wolves' body language a reflection of their bond elf personalities!

Wow! this is great! such a contrast between them! one fierce and the other gentle! this is exactly why their love works! really like all the sharp pointy things and the gentle leaves growing from the magic...

What is there not to love here? Talk about the ultimate power couple! The bright colors, the contrast between Nightfall's intensity and her weapons and Redlance using his plantshaping powers. Even their wolves echo their elves personalities. It's amazing!

Only slight critisism I have is the positioning of Nightfall's legs and feet, they don't quite make sense to me? Her right leg is pulled far back but you can still see the boot? And her other leg is pulled upward except her knee. It looks like she is almost floating.

I also love this image is a reference to "I am the sword, the spear, the arrow. You are the flower, the tree, the vine."

Lovely as always Treefox. I do miss your use of traditional mediums but this is still stunning. ;)

Your used really vibrant and striking colours for the couple! But thus they also stand out. Nightfall looks pretty aggressive here, but maybe that is her way of protecting Redlance. Even the wolves mimic / mirror this behaviour and the contrast of calm and upset.
The arrangement of spears makes Nightfall seem to burst right out of the image. And also that is a rather sharp, geomatric shape while Redlance's magic and vines follows a rounded, organic form.
Well done!

This is fab. The way you do hair always makes me a bit starryeyed, it has such a great flow and ahhh. So pretty. I really like that you included their wolves as well <3
Was this one entirely digital or did you start with a traditional sketch? The medium works well for you!

Thank you all so much for your kind comments! Your feedback means so much to me! And Redlance and Nightfall are oldschool Elfquest, but they are and remain my favorites.
This is 100% digital. Being able to work with a tablet and drawing directly on it changed my digital drawing abilities completely. The Adobe software is everything that Gimp sadly never was for me. It's just so super intuitive! And the tablet can travel anywhere with me,  I can draw in hotel rooms without problems! :D love that! I think I'll always find traditional media more enjoyable and won't stop using them. But digital art could help me to get much more art out there.
But I also have sooo much to learn, as was pointed out correctly,  their leg positions don't match and they are all more or less floating around...so there are definite difficulties in drawing every character separately on several layers. :D
