Great Wave and Chey

It was my brother that inadvertently introduced me to Elfquest. I walked into his room one day and saw these amazing comic books scattered all over his bed and asked if I could read them. He offered me the huge Starblaze compilation book and the rest is history. This is one of his four characters, GreatWave. GreatWave is bonded to a large great horned owl, Chey. I had a hell of a lot of fun drawing this character, and laughed when I presented this to my brother when he came to visit me a couple months ago. He laughed and approved. This character is humorously based on someone, and I studied photos before putting pencil to paper. GreatWave resides in Holt of Grand Illusions. If I can find the original illo I did of him, I'll put them together and post it in the "Then and Now" folder.

Ah, so you also have a sibling who introduced you to Elfquest? For me it was my sister! Love my sibling!
 Not only for that!  Of Course I would be very interested to see the live model for him. Loooove his cute "butt chin"! Very nice! And the owl is just perfect! Magnificient! |
