Chieftess Sorrel, Froghop, and Chief Tailsplash

Another old illo I just finished shading that features Robi McCulley's characters from Three Holts Alliance: Chieftess Sorrel, baby Froghop (how perfect a name is that?!), and Chief Tailsplash. Sorrel is from the faction that are bonded to bison and had to flee their original homesite after a volcanic eruption. When her holt settled near the ocean, they encountered sea elves led by Chief Tailsplash. They Recognized and recently welcomed baby Froghop. Of course there are a lot of issues with this illo, but I'm very proud of how I drew Sorrel. I never felt I could do her justice, but I think I managed here. Sadly, Three Holts Alliance has folded.

Awww Froghop! That's the cutest name! What a nice family they make. I always liked the way you draw fishtails. They are so beautiful and powerful. I can really imagine someone swimming with such a fine tail.

I always get nailed for drawing them too long. Maybe it's a holdover from the hair thing. Anyway, thank you!
