Capricious head turn

Here's a very evil looking Shadow-Dancer that popped up while writing about a group of modern day archaeologists going to Iceholt to uncover some elf history.
This was supposed to be mural they see on a picture. I wanted it to actually look like ancient cave art, but I can't draw something like that.

<He doesn’t look very friendly.> Kess said, noting the figure's manic smile and crazed gleam in the one visible eye. <Why is his head turned to the side like that?>
<Maybe the painter couldn’t draw it facing the viewer?> Ceabel suggested and handed back the picture. < Art is hard.>
<It’s a sign of his...um, capricious nature. His torso is turned towards the viewer, indicating honesty, but the turned head means possible deception.>
<...You mean he’s basically going ‘Or am I?!’ on the mural?> Ceabel asked, staring at Zendra with wide eyes.
<Yes, pretty much.>
<Can we please try and find him? I need a husband.> Ceabel battered his eyes playfully.

That's one creepy stare! O_O I get a feeling that this would look awesome as an Egyptian style wall painting. Did you mean this should be like a prehistoric cave painting?

 Egyptian style paintings aren't that complicated to do!
