I am so happy that you came along last minute and submitted this Sophia. It is a very moving piece of artwork and was perfect for the beginning of a brand new year.

That's a very beautiful one. Good idea! Ekuar just from the backside, which might seem unusual, but it is a contrast to (probably, haven't checked yet) all others, where you can see his face. The arch of the palace door makes a nice frame around him and that sunrise (like a holy shine) and his glance outsides, towards it, add a lot of good mood. An yes, January is well met with this one. (Make me remember to order a printed one now...)
But what technique is it? The paper and some colours reminds me of aquarel, but you still have a lot of sharp lines; so inked / "fine-liner-ed" and then filled with the water colours?

Yes, really wonderful! A beginning or an ending? The colors, the framing is so wonderful!

Wonderful! I adore the simplicity of this, it really shows why the saying "less is more" is so powerful. It leaves you asking questions as Treefox said, and the mood in this is really lovely. Well done!

I love how this is so simple yet effective. Those colors! As others have said, it makes you wonder if it is the beginning or the end. I also really like the texture that the paper adds to this illustration.
