I really like that New Moon cutting the hearts in two. Nice background coloring.
Interpretation: puh, I first thought it takes place right after the tournament of the hand, head and heart. But there are still the teeth on his necklance. So it's right before the challenge on cutter I guess. Rayek is making up his mind and starts to feel the hate about his seemingly upcomming loss. He won't be a loser so first he feeds his anger. The blanket he sits on looks like the one from Leetah. |

Thanks for your comment, Yavia. Yes, there is some symbolism here.
Oh, I'll have to look up the teeth thingy then. I thought it was part of his standard outfit. I know he used to fetch his dagger in the trial from the hole in the rocks. It was meant (as written in my longer description) after he lost, went to the rocks and then left Sorrow's End. About the blanket: I just took that from the famous picture of him, standing on the rocks with the spear and looking all-serious (I think it was the back cover of OQ3 or 4).

Thank you. It may be sweet but it's also a tragic moment, but moreover also a moment where he started growth in terms of character development.
