Hello all, just wanted to share this mini intro comic I did for the wife's EQ fan club group ( WildWood Holt~  ElfQuest Fanclub!! https://www.facebook.com/groups/262311417306076/  also It's independent website - http://thespiralofoblivion.com/wildwoodholt/index1.html)  Hope you find it as enjoyable as I did creating it.

I know there is a limit on daily posts, hoping you won't mind me posting the complete comic (5 pages only) just this one time.

Created on Blue line comic 11x17 Bristol with Copic Multiliner and sketch markers.  All narrative boxes and lettering finished in PS CS5, scanned to standard comic format size.

Hurray! More Rowtiger art! It's been way too long; great to have you back. It's way past my bedtime at the moment, but I really wanted to post a comment before I called it quits. I will look at the comic later and post more comments. This particular illo is enjoyable to really look at. Of course, the auburn-red hair against the green of the background and her eyes are very striking, but I really like her pose. The foreshortening of her arm to make it appear as if it is extending outward to the audience can be difficult to achieve, but you did a great job here. Like Berit, my eyes quickly notice weapons, although this appears to be more of a staff or ceremonial piece rather than a weapon (though can be used as one if necessary). Either way, I really like it; wonderful detail you've put into it. Excellent job and I can't wait to really look over the rest of the comic. Meanwhile, Once again, I've had a holt fold on me so I have numerous orphans. Maybe Wildwood has room for a few more elves?

Hi Amber,  yup it's a ceremonial staff and a long time since I posted.  Jan 15 2013 I suffered a mini stroke (minor surface feeling loss and my hands shake just a lil when I'm tired)   which was brought on by the on set of MS, trust me it sounds way worse than it is,but I kinda dropped off the face of the earth till I got everything under control.  Got back to drawing in the fall and been working on improving my style, now it's good to be back to drawing and having fun.  Have to run to work now, I'll catch up with everyone later today.

This was so nice to view, Rowtiger! I too missed your pictures.
It's great finding such a treat after so long. Interesting introduction to a tribe. :D
I hope you're doing better.

I am so very sorry to hear about your health issues. My father and paternal grandmother both had massive strokes that had profound permanent effects on them. I certainly can understand dropping off the face of the World of Two Moons as a result of health issues; been there, done that, although for different reasons. I sincerely hope you can make a full recovery from the stroke impact and the MS doesn't progress. I wish you all the best with your health. Meanwhile, welcome back and I love seeing your work!

What a great outline and color - she looks like a playing card (in a cool way)  like I could pick her for a fun game.  The pose is nice and  I  love the way you "round out" your characters - - Meaning; you follow through on your shapes and put in all the details.  She looks so robust and likeable.  Fun. Fun.
