You were very bold with the shading here! I always pictured her being blond, but I like the red hair! It is nice to see someone draw his obscure character. She seems sad... missing her parents and wondering if she has kin somewhere else in the world?

So pretty. I think we have seen her colored somewhere, right?  I also like the bold shading. Only wish her hair was shaded the same way. Still love how you breathe life into these characters.

I'd sort that expression as, um, melancholy, not yet full sadness. Staring at the ocean with a certain depression.

Wow, I like the daring shading. It's not seen so often in fanart.

Can't help but feel for Wavelet; she really does seem so very sad. I never really knew her coloration, but I like the red-gold. The strong shading on her face and upper body would be more stunning in a black and white copy since it would really stand out more than it does against color. I think I'm also wondering about the bold shading being in front of areas in her ear and sections of hair strongly lit, trying to figure out where the light is coming from to create that sort of light/dark. Again, I'm so thrilled artists took more chances with lesser known characters this time around than with the more frequently depicted ones.

I really do not know this Character.  Lucky you gave us hints in the wonderful background.  (makes me) want to know why she is so very sad.

Thanks so much for the wonderful comments, guys :) Yeah, it's a pity the late WD episodes were never colored. I remember Cathy Purchis of the WaveDancers Who's Who stating that the then-writer for Wavelet's segments (Vickie Murphy? Am I correct?) had described her as a ginger-haired blue-eyes, so I went with that. But I gave her the same intense blue eyes of Brill and Krill to reflect the waves in her name :) Poor lost little girl, it must have been so though for her. Her story was kind of a reverse take on Little Patch - never knew any of her kind, was welcomed into another tribe's from early childhood and grew up knowing only that life. But her awakening to the truth was so much harsher... I hope, if she ever makes a cameo back in EQ (but I doubt she will, other than the mention in FQ Special) that she might cross paths with Ember's Wolfriders. She and Tingeh probably would get along well.
