Gosh, she looks cute and happy! The desert bright colors are wonderful. I really don't recall her character traits, but you sure make her look absolutely likable!

You've got some great depth in your colors, and how they make the image pop is wonderful. I can tell which direction the sun is coming from and most of all in her jeweled dress clasp. The detail of tones gives the shape of the gem and the gold surrounding it life to the point of it becoming three dimensional.

Thank you everyone! It was a blast to finally be able to send something in, and I still love how it came out! I personally have meant to work on expressions for a little while so having something to kick my butt to to it was wonderful!
@Treefox, Blair's terrible drawings luckily gives one a little bit artistic license to decide what features one wants. XD As for personality she was really sweet in the few pages we saw her, and very understanding. |

Oh, I don't think her eyes are crossed, but rather squinted closed with the joy she feels. But, it's all a matter of interpretation, right? And another underrepresented character featured for the calendar - hurray! I agree that the artistic license is anyone's game since Blair's work was a little...well, anyway. The skin tone really shines through in this illo; as Firestorm said, it has great depth to it!

Nice choice of character, and I love that smile ! Your work is just growing every time you post StarTear. The brightness really matches a desert theme well and gives us a clue of where Serrin is from.
