And, seeing this guy, I can very much see why you didn't want to go lighter on Grimjaw's hair color so that the braiding detail would be more visible. But yeah... it's just a challenge, making that stand out.
Otherwise, love this guy's design, good! I'm fasacinated by the decision to go with shiny purple armor! Very fashion-forward! ;-) My favorite part, of course, is the Tycho Brahe-esque metal nose.  I assume that's the intent, there?
