Great to see such a famliar character, Gina! Is she still in Windhowl or have you moved her to another holt?
I really love the shading you've done here. It's really flattering and lifelike, even the crosshatching looks perfect. The negative space works as far as I'm concerned because it causes the viewer to focus on the character and little else. It even gives the impression that Dawnswirl is about to create her own background when she's done grinning at us. It's wonderful to see you back in action, even if the illo is from 2003. I never got to see it! |

I love the composition in this, with the focus mainly on the right side. And aaaaall the little crosshatching in the root!
