This is like a cover or poster. It is set with such grand movement. I think it would make a great animated scene too. The darkness really adds to the mood as well. Great story telling.

Augh. I was quite worried about this picture, because the theme was a bit over my head, so it makes me really happy that... And animated, Midnight? Hmm. Interessting. I wonder if I would be able to try that?

Also a little fun fact about it? If you see where Skywise points at, it's some glowy seablue stars? It's actually two star constellations, The hunter (Odin) and the wolf. So it matches the story... Eh, yeah.

So it's really Odin in the sky? I didn't know it's called the hunter so the picturename didn't tip me off. I wonder the first time what's the meaning of it because why is it in the world of two moons?
Yeah, but why not?
Maybe the world of two moons isn't far away at all!

Because of my unknowing I first thought it's Eyes High up in the nest representing the wolf and the two humans pointing in search for her as the hunters. And the text to remind the sad story.
Then it's Cutter sitting next to Skywise like in the first issue?

Ehhhee, well, it was supposed to be Eyes High at the top and right, Cutter and Skywise at the bottom like the first issue (One of my fav scenes as a kid) Drawn from a different angle. Thou' I gotta admit I kinda like your version too.

But when it comes to the stars, I have been told about the hunter in the sky. One of three easiest constellations to see in the nightsky. (Among Ursa Minor and Cassiopea) I had never been able to see the wolf myself, so I had to search it up and place it where it fit the story thou'... I can do a quick linework to show the constellations if yer need/want that?

I like the effort you put into the artwork but I thought the concept fell a little short and the word bubbles distracted me from enjoying the art.

I know you say you struggled with the theme this year but I hope that you will consider submitting something for the next fan calendar.

I think this piece has potential it just needed a few tweaks here and there. Plus if this is what you come up with when you are in over your head I would love to see what you have to offer when the theme is something you feel confident about. ;D

You know, I don't think he word bubbles are distracting at all. I think it wouldn't work out without them, in fact. I really like how you used coloring of the sky and black to tell the story.
