*sniff* This brings tears to my eyes and makes wish for a companion like that. Unbelievable that you managed to capture the life of Snapper and his relationship and adventrues with Bearclaw in four panels. Ingenious!
For not having an idea for a picture, you came up with something so touching and beautiful. That is just amazing. I am so glad to see your art in the calendar again! Edit: Your entry seems to be colored traditionally as well! That's great. Did you put it together digitally? |

I love your coloring style. It's so pleasing to the eyes and I also love the way you do wolves in particular. Our 'wolf' is getting old and had a scary siezure or something night before last, so this page is especially touching for me.
Great story-telling and is a prime example of how you don't need words to tell an awesome story. |

So Snapper's eye was scarred when wolf and rider hunted longtooth then? I love the snapshots of his life, and your coloring.

When you handed this in I was so pleased and not because the artwork was good (which it is) but because there were no words.
I know there wasn’t a rule against using text in your entry this year but for me telling a story with pictures meant just that, use the pictures to tell the story, no naughty words getting in the way of artistic perfection. This is exactly what the theme was meant to look like, you nailed it Holly. |
