Drawing trees is fun! I should do that more often.

It's supposed to be Brownberry, but probably looks like Moonshade.
All my dark-curly-haired elves tend to look like Moonshade.  :P

Nah, I don't think so. Moonshade's hair is darker for one thing, besides, one can tell it is Brownberry instantly when you look at her necklace. ;) Anyway, I just love this. The tree looks old, with a beard of moss, and the way the leaves shades Brownberry is marvelous. She also looks thoughtful, in a practical way. I agree with you on that drawing tree's are mighty fun. :D

If I had your skills for drawing trees.... We would be infested with them. Seriously, you are amazing. And I think its only the style of the hair, other than that it doesn't look like moonshade.
Awesome work!

Thanks!
Brownberry doesn't get enough screen-time. I probably should draw Longbranch too, come to think of it.

Apart from also adding, that this is majorly pretty, I didn't mistake her for Moonshade even for a second. I think her face shape and eyes are different. THe colors are fantastic!

Looking briefly at the thumbnail, I thought it was Moonshade, but when I clicked onto this page, I instantly realized it was Brownberry. Any doubts, one should just click on the image to enlarge it. The overall image is really lovely, and you can't mistake the berries in her hair. It's great to see past Wolfrider characters getting their due time in the spotlight and you've really brought Brownberry to life. I like that you kept the background simple to focus the attention on the character without compromising the overall effect.

Ha ha!  I have that problem too -- it bugs me that Brownberry and Moonshade are so similar in design.  One wonders why Wendy did that.  Brownberry's look seems to have been created a while after Moonshade's, and as far as anyone can tell, they aren't directly related.  So why give them the same hairstyle and so close to the same hair color, if you don't have to?  It's odd.

Still, as Treefox says, you did a good job here of making her look distinct from Moonshade.  The shape of the eyes is definitely a key thing; aside of course from the costume.

Thank you all :) I'm glad she doesn't look too Moonshade-ish.

Rowtiger: Photoshop. I was stupid enough to put the lineart, coloring and background on just one layer. The endless possibilities of Photoshop are largely wasted on a technical dimwit like me. *le sigh*

Eregyrn: I've been wondering about that myself! Same thing bugs me a bit when it comes to Eyes High and Joyleaf. With them it's more the color scheme (eyes, hair and clothes) than the general design, though.
