Finally recovered from my convention art shock thing to color this... Though, this is my first coloring in a few weeks so... Please bear with me...
A bit of spoilers to those reading my stories... Though, I wonder who is reading those...
Kerryn is Arehe's daughter and she is very attached to her uncle Beyond who was in a jail cell for a little while, thanks to bad behavior.
So Kerryn attached to her father in a very upset way.

Her hair is very.... Lion maneish. I really like drawing curly hair, though this was pushing my style art, but the more I practice the better it gets and the more I like it.

Kerryn is by far one of my most adorable characters. If she wants something she'll just reach her arms out until you pick her up. She's not needy, she's just quiet like her father.

D'awww... Poor Kerryn. She's really cute and I like the way she clings to her father.
There's just two things that distract me a little bit... I think one thing is, that Kerryn's eyes seem too close together and the second are the very dark slightly pixely outlines. They do make them stand out better, though.

Thank you Treefox! I've never really done a pose like this and believe me, when I inked it, there was a lot of fixes that I did... It is so much easier to color with cleaner lines but there is so much work to mix my softer colorings into it. I admit I didn't color the eyes as I usually do and that proved to be a bad idea... I'm working on finding a happy medium, though! And this was my first ink in... Quite a long time. (July..?)
Thank you for the feedback!

I think two persons interacting this closely is quite different to draw. It turned out very, very well!

Uh-oh, I'd better read those stories in case I'm quizzed!

Beautiful illo that really captures the mood and intensity of the moment. I like how she's biting her lower lip and while she's in her father's arms, she is still rather distant from him. The color is dramatic without overpowering the two. Did you clean up the pixilation? I tried looking at what Treefox mentioned but I didn't see anything that detracted from the image. There's a little pixiling, but nothing drastic. I also don't know if you fixed the closeness of the eyes, but the only thing that I'm wondering about is how old Kerryn is in this illo. She seems as if she is a cub but her face looks a bit mature, a young adult maybe.

The pose is great! Working two characters together so close and grasping each other can be very difficult. Love the soothing hand on her shoulder.

Kerryn is probably about 10 or so in this picture... Maybe 12? She always goes on about how her dad is so "Unfun" so its not surprising how awkward she feels getting comforted by him. And I'm so glad that you caught things that are true to their characters, it makes me so happy! And no, I haven't, it'd take a while to go through and smooth down all the lines without blurring them to the point where they are out of focus.
And yes... Its only been months since I began drawing more than one person in the frame so successfully drawing two characters this close to each other, without it being incredibly awkward of a pose, just means the world to me.
And she most likely got her matured looks from her grandmother... But you'd have to guess who I'm referring to ;) . She got her hair from her great grandmother...

Ok, I need to read your stories now!

And yes, as Treefox pointed out, it is difficult to draw two characters interacting this closely. (so I tend to avoid it, which is kind of detrimental to my learning curve, heh) But you've really pulled it of.

And the coloring is nice too, nothing to "bear with you" about ;)

Daaaw. This is just stunning! *,*For some reason I really like the look of her right leg. It's one of those things that catches the eye in the right way.
