             SweetWater  Holt

A character study for one of my favorite "Cubs".  Here I have drawn her from youth to elder.  I tried to catch a dread-lock look for her hair as an Elder ; figuring it would rat and mat the older she got.

Cub Name :  Tufts
Face Shape :  Shen Shen
Eyes : Lord Voll / Asian
Nose : very pug
Lips :  full  and large
Body : Rillfisher boy shape

Wolf's Name : Greybeard.  Recent Leader of Holt Pack.  Fought his own Father for the position.  Which is why they both had "chin fur".
Colors :  Grey and Dark Grey.  Bandit mask across eyes. Dark scruff and band behind front legs.
Sending :  High

She wears burgandy, black and browns. Truley thinks things through at all times and wonders constantly about the changes in Elves since Wolfblood was introduced.   In storytime has displayed no Magic, but it could delevelope late as Story decrees.  Or if someone comes up with a great suggestion !

That's a pretty cool outfit. She looks like a lot to handle, somehow. I'm not familiar with the sweetwater holt, but by your illustration I can see they fit into the wolfrider's role. Great wolf too. The wolf looks very dedicated to it's rider. And the paw-print at the top is a nice touch. :)

Again, I really like and admire how you give your characters very individual looks and personality. I always have to look at your work in full scale to catch all the details to admire what you've done. You always seem to put so much effort into it. I agree that Ponder looks like a handful, and I think I recognize that pose at the bottom corner. Still, it works perfectly for her from what I'm reading. Greybeard (hurray! Someone else spells it with an e!) is a perfect name for her bond, and somehow he looks as if he's ready to bump into her to initiate some play. Of the three images, I am really drawn to the full body with Greybeard; I really like how you've worked the details and shading in (minus the pupils, of course), and you really get a sense of the characters.

Yay, Yay!  !   Good to hear from you AMBERFOX .    R - Full body.    When the full body is really small I never try to get the pupils right.  I just love how it looks to color in the whole shape of the eye = better to see the color and gives it a  'Wolf'  in the dark  Look.

Pose   .    .  Um, Hey !   Weird !   I get ya.    Not intentional, but very understandable as I have read, and re-read every  Comic  and graphic  Novel  maybe a few dozen/billion times.   Since she was speaking out in Council  for the shot I wanted her to look determined, and to look like she had just thumped her chest.    Now I will be tempted to go back and See if I have done that before.   Curious and curiouser;  Just how much ELFQUEST is stuck inside my head and Talent  ? ? ?
