Oh, it's nothing after all
by Czarine
Probably my first time drawing Marut. Man, his nose is hard to draw! He ended up a bit awkward, because I was first gonna draw just his face, but ended up drawing his torso too. Then he looked way too stiff, so I tried to make him scout, but his expression doesn't really fit that. He looks as if he thought he saw something interesting, but it wasn't anything special after all. I should practice drawing him better.

It looks very much like him and I don't think the addition of the torso or "stiffness" detracts from the illo. In fact, it appears as though he is off on his wandering bouts again and doesn't have a clear idea of where he wants to go, so he's halfheartedly scouting ahead and taking quick assessment of his surroundings. Not that it makes much difference to him; he's just ready to wander and go where it leads him.

This looks really cool. Using different colour pen than just black adds interest and uniqueness.

Oh, that is so Marut-ish! Good likeness and the scouting in the bushes seems fitting and just looks great! I love the way ball point pen gives this such an interesting structure.
