This.
I think, in a way, Cutter was my first crush. I always liked how young and adventurous he was in the original quests.
This is awesome work, Treefox.

My favorite from you...you knocked it out of the park with this, and such a great finale to the three pinup calendars!

Oh guys! That's so kind! Wow, I am speechless... Thank you! Yes, together with Rain, drawing Cutter was most natural for me. For me, Cutter and Skywise are the heart and soul of Elfquest, alone for the fact that I started reading Elfquest with issues 9 and 10 and it was mostly about their quest. So, I was sooo happy to get the offer to draw the hero and wanted to make it all out heroic but with a niiice butt! So great to draw his nice body, his younger features and looong hair. Also, just to draw this iconic outfit made so happy! I feel bad for Elea, though. I was really looking forward to her Cutter.
And yeah, I kinda messed up Nightrunner badly. Usually I can draw wolves better than that...

I was also disappointed not to see more Elea artwork, but you did a magnificent job with Cutter! You really managed to nail that quintessential look of him, especially in the facial and action shots. You can TELL it's Cutter without hesitation and it LOOKS like him. A lot of people are really harsh in judging how an artist draws him because of exactly your point - he is the heart and soul of Elfquest. But you did it, as far as I'm concerned. Now I'm not sure if I prefer this one to another illo you did for the calendar, darn it! I wouldn't worry about Nightrunner; it doesn't detract from the overall image, and I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't said anything about it! Shhhhhhhh!

*giggle* Okay, I'll shut up about that. ;)
Thank you so much. I am glad that I just drew him straight from my heart, the way I feel about him. Of course, that's always my vision of Cutter and not everybody might agree, that's true. :)
